Edith was born in Asquith, SK April 1908 and she married Richard on November 9, 1935. Together they farmed in the Kinley, SK district for many years, retiring to Saskatoon in 1956, where Edith resided until her passing. She enjoyed her family and took great pride in her cooking. She will be sadly missed by her family. Edith is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Donna (Henry) Dyck, Mona (Glenn) Martens; and daughterin-law, Carol Scott, all of Saskatoon; sister, Dorothy (Leon) Lambden of Airdrie, AB; brothers, Walter (Clara) Hill of Vanscoy and Jim Hill of Delisle; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Flora Hill; son, Richard Gaylord Scott; brothers, Wilfred and Frank Hill; sister, Florence Benoska and sister-in-law, Florence Hill. She was predeceased by her husband Eldo (Al); her parents, and six sisters. Marguerite was a Founder and Life Member Royal Purple Lodge Saskatoon, an executive member of Fairfield Senior Citizens Association, and a member of the Riversdale Lawn Bowling Club for many years. She was also a lifetime member of St.

Merv, as he was known to his friends and family, died of cancer April 11, 2002, at Parkridge Centre, Saskatoon after a courageous struggle, so gracefully borne. Merv was born September 29, 1927 to his parents, Sadie and Stanley Harrison, pioneers in the Senlac district, Saskatchewan. Merv will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 47 years, Bernice, his three children and 8 grandchildren, all who he loved so much; Terry (Brian LaBrash) Stanley and Laura; Kathy (Bob Pollock) Breanne and Keegan all of Saskatoon. Scott (Gayle) Jadon, Michael, Joel and Nathan of Vancouver. One brother Warren (Jean), sisters-in-law Ruth Harrison, Eleanor Bayne, Marge Wells, Lois Wells and their families.

As well, the caring and supportive relatives of the Harrison-Wells blended families, numerous nieces and nephews with whom Merv and Bernice have always enjoyed a caring relationship. Merv was predeceased by his parents, his step Bruce Wells, brother Dr. C. Harrison Edmonton and step-siblings, Manson Wells, Ralph Wells, Edna Reid, Ruby Mercer and Norman Wells. After 20 years of employment with Bowman Bros.

Automotive Appliance Wholesale, he moved on to a career with the University of Saskatchewan, Facilities Management until his retirement in 1995. Throughout his life he was a passionate and deeply committed social activist and member of the many ways. His have been acUnited Church touching, countless lives in knowledged. In May 1997, Merv received Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from St. Andrew's College, Saskatoon.

In September 1998 the Prime of Life Achievement Award from the University of Saskatchewan Retirees the "Most Valued Friend" plaque from Equal Justice For All for his years of support and work with that anti-poverty group, and then in ruary Saskatchewan 2002, the Council Global for Citizen's International Award from CoOperation. Sincere thanks and appreciation to those special people who cared for Merv and supported our family during this long illness. Dr. Ernie Klassen, family doctor for years, Cancer Clinic staff, Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul's Hospital.

Parkridge Centre staff, Home Care nurses, Dolan's Care Services and our caring friends from the community and our neighborhood. Ask for details. In Memoriam 1000 1004 KLASSEN Joseph William passed away peacefully at Circle Drive Special Care Home in Saskatoon on April 12, 2002. He was born May 5, 1910 and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Frieda, of 63 years, daughters, Hazel (Robert) Maull of Dundas, ON, Josephine (Edward) Drzystek of Winnipeg, MB and sons, Gordon (VI) Klassen of Airdrie, AB and Murray (Judy) Klassen of North Delta, BC, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister Martha of Edmonton, AB and brothers Howard (California), Earl (Victoria) and Ray (Calgary). He was predeceased by sister Justine (Dyck) and brother Wesley.

Joe grew up in Main Centre, Sask. and attended Herbert Bible School. In the late 1930's he began farming in the Aberdeen area. Over the years he worked at farming, construction, as a handy man as well as dabbling in real estate. He completed his working years on the custodial staff at the University of Saskatchewan.

After retiring he enjoyed travelling with his wife in their Fifth Wheel visiting Saskatchewan parks in summer and southern USA and Mexico in the winter. He had a gentle and compassionate spirit and was devoted to his family and faith. Favorite pastimes were walking, reading and board games. In 1998 the move was made to the Circle Drive Senior Citizens Home where he enjoyed the programs, supports and companionship of the residents and staff. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the administration, medical team and staff at the Circle Drive Special Care Home for the wonderful care and kindess shown to Dad during his short stay there.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Grove Community Church on Wednesday, April 17 at 1:30 pm.
