S7M5T3 DEATHS 1000 TURANICH The death of Mr. John Turamch age 81 years of Saskatoon occurred at a local hospital on Monday, September 6th, 1993. John is survived by his wife, Mary of 53 years: one daughter, Chris (Robert) Brookman of Saskatoon; three sons, John (Barb) of Saskatoon, Peter (Judy) of Saskatoon, James (Marilyn) of Regina, SK, grandchildren.

Randie of Kelowna, BC, Johnnie (Jr.) of Saskatoon: one brother, George (Helen) of Davidson, SK; two sisters, Mary (Bill) Hu-milowich of Kenaston, SK, Dorothy Shandler of Vancouver; two godchildren. John Turamch was born on January 28th, 1912 in the Goodeve District of Saskatchewan where he was also educated. He then moved to Norwich, ON, coming back to settle on a farm in the Blad-worth District of Saskatchewan. John married Mary Dorish of Goodeve on November 6th, 1940 at Knox United Church in Saskatoon. Together they resided on the farm in Kenaston where in 1944 their daughter Christine was born. They then moved to a farm in the Blad-worth District where sons John (1946), Peter (1949), and James (1954) were born.

John loved farming, for this he moved to Davidson, SK, and then to Saskatoon in 1969 where he worked as an engineer for the Government of Canada, retiring in 1978. John enjoyed fishing, travelling and car racing. He spent many of his travels with his children in California, Hawaii, and one special car racing trip to Daytona Florida with his son John. John Turamch was a very loving family man who will be deeply missed by his family. The family would appreciate Memorial donations be made to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 Third Ave.

Carolyn Stmn and Barbara Vandale; and one great grandchild, Cody Stmn. Myrtle is predeceased by her parents, one brother; and one sister.

Myrtle was born June 7, 1911 in Osage, SK and moved to Saskatoon at a young age. Myrtle was an active member of the Saskatoon Bridge Club, being a Life Master of the A.C L. Association. She was also a member of the C.N R. Women's Auxiliary The Vigil will be held from the Chapel of St.

G. Anderson of Olds, AB Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Josie (Jobin) Dredger. Margaret was born on November 8, 1920 at Saskatoon. Her parents passed away when she was very young and so for about thirty years she lived with Mr. and Mrs.

Roy C. Anderson and their two young sons, Gerald and Bruce. Margaret was educated in Saskatoon. She worked for many years in the insurance business, first for Lloyd's of London and then for the Saskatchewan Government Insurance. She was a charter member of the Baptist Church which she attended.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. 1993. Son, Brother, Uncle friend. Although Silas was called home at the young age of 17 years he touched the hearts of all who knew him. Silas was born in Prince George, BC on May 25, 1976 He lived there with his family until 1980 when they moved to Saskatoon. Silas attended John Lake School, Holliston and Sion High School.

He was presently attending City Park Collegiate. Silas will be greatly missed by his loving mother, Glenda LaCendre; sisters, Lori LaCendre, Janice LaCendre. brothers, Jason LaCendre, Ken Wykes (Rhonda Lesser); one nephew, Jesse Lesser and one niece, Chelsea Lesser; special friends, Bev Bear and Jerry Bilawchuk; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Silas was predeceased by one sister. Gwendolyn LaCendre in 1984; his grandfather, Barney LaCendre in 1989: and his grandmother, Delma LaCendre in 1992.

The Funeral Service will be held at McKAGUE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3rd Ave. on Monday, September 6, 1993 at 1100 a m. The family would like friends and relatives to join them after the services at Ken and Rhonda's. FRIESEN Kathrine Friesen died peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 1993, a month before her 89th birthday. She was born in Ros-thern in 1904 and spent her childhood in Laird, Saskatchewan.

Her maiden name, Friesen, is common among Mennomtes, but her family was unrelated to that of her husband, Abram Friesen (1901 1966). Kathrine was a teacher until her marriage, and the couple spent most of their married life in Ros-thern, where Abe owned the Rosthern Pharmacy. After Kathrine was widowed she lived for many years in Saskatoon, until five years ago, when she moved to Red Deer to be near her two oldest children. Kathrine was an excellent singer and a church soloist for many years Her volunteer work included helping to organize singing festivals and competitions in Rosthern, and working in craft shops and in hospitals. She was also an active member of the United Church Women and of the IODE, first in Rosthern and then in Saskatoon.

Although Kathrine was the second of four children, she has outlived her two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her four children who are Dale, married to Margaret Boldt, now in Red Deer, Madeleine, mamed to Gordon Hodgen in Inmsfail, James, marned to Lynn Ar-nason in Toronto and Bill, mamed to Gail Miller in Tasmania, Australia There are eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Kathrine's life was long and interesting, with much travelling and she was content with her lot when she died. Friends of Kathrine and her children are invited to a Memorial Service and lunch, to be held at St. Paul's United Church, 454 Egbert Ave.

William was born in the Wishart district on December 24, 1912, where he received his education and mamed Nettie Powaschuk, also of Wishart in 1944. Soon after they moved to Moose Jaw where Bill worked as a Carpenter and in 1961 moved to Saskatoon where he retired in 1978. William is survived by his wife, Nettie; and two daughters, Eva Petryshen and Irene Balan, both of Saskatoon; two brothers, Fred (Emily) of Wynyard, and Mike (Ksenka) Elfros; as well as one sister, Mary Wasylynka of Wishart. He was predeceased by two brothers, Nick and George; three sisters, Ksenka Bzdel, Katherine Evanchook and Annie Philipchuk. In lieu of flowers.

S7K 2P1. PALCHINSKI The passing of Mr. Alex (Aloysius) Palchinski, age 81 years of Saskatoon, occurred in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital on Monday, September 6, 1993. The Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday.

September 10th at 11 00 am. cele brated by Rev. Father Al Rekowski, C.SS R. from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 211 Avenue 0 South. The Vigil of Prayer will be held Thursday evening, September 9th at 7:30 m.

Surviving are his wife, Sophie; one daughter, Marjorie (Terry) Rak of Saskatoon; one son, John (Myrlene) of Toronto, ON, three grandchildren, Taguen, Landon and Temlle Rak, two sisters, Angela Hrycak and Helen Buhl of Saskatoon; one sister in law, Rosie Palchinski of Saskatoon and many nieces and nephews and friends. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Mr. Anton and Mrs. Anna Palchinski; his step-mother, Appoloma Palchinski; brothers, Joseph, John, Ben, Michael. Carl and Peter, and by two sisters, Verna Zayachkowski and Maiy Repchinski.

Alex was born on a farm near Alvena, Saskatchewan July 18, 1912. At the age of four years his mother Anna Palchinski passed away He mamed Sophie Roslinski in October of 1935 and together they farmed in the community of Alvena until they moved to Saskatoon in 1949. Alex continued grain farming until 1957. He then worked as a carpenter for Patrick Construction Co. in Saskatoon.

He also worked for SaskTel and was employed by the Saskatoon East School Unit as a school bus driver. Alex took great pride in his carpentry and building skills. He loved and enjoyed his family very much. He was especially fond of Ins grandchildren and was a regular supporter of their pursuits in music, hockey, ringette and softball. Throughout the years, Alex was an ardent fan of his grandchildren playing on the various Raider Hockey teams.

He became affectionately known as "Grandpa Raider. We miss him dearly. Cremation will follow the Funeral Liturgy. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery, Friday, September 10th at 4 30 m. Friends wishing to attend the Committal Service may meet on Memorial Avenue at 4.30 m.

Marshall is survived by his five daughters, Shirley (Ron) Whiteside, Dorothy Vermeulen, Jean (Don) Pearson, Marlene (Lyle) Osterhout and Joan (Bill) Sweet; 13 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren; nine nieces; a sister in law, Molly Inghs He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian in 1970, a son-in-law, Bud Vermeulen in 1990; his parents, two brothers; and four sisters. Marshall was born May 12, 1895 in the Electoral County of Mitchell, NWT (Saskatoon). He received his education in Saskatoon.

Marshall married Lillian Mae Ballard October 9, 1930 and together farmed in the Hawoods district until retiring in October of 1965. They then moved to Asquith and following Lillian's death he moved to Saskatoon where he has made his home. Marshall was very active in the communities where he lived, being founding member of the Dairy Pool and Co-op in Asquith. He will be remembered for his love of a good game of crib and his love of dancing. After moving to Saskatoon Marshall participated in various bowling leagues and curling with the seniors at The Hub.

He was a member of the Asquith Elks Lodge and a member of Mayfair United Church. Memorial donations may be made to Mission and Service, co Knox United Church, 838 Spadina Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 3H4, and would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Interment will take place in Hill-crest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME. SCHERMANN Brent Mark Schermann, born March 30, 1975, died at the age of 18 on September 4, 1993 at Calgary General Hospital Brent was a graduate of Evan Hardy Collegiate and a stong advocate of the 0 P.E.
