He was bom In Manchester, New Hampshire on September 19, 1905 and came West with his parents and settled In the Cabri area of Saskatchewan. His great love for the land led him into farming at Rosary and later at Bick-leigh. In-between he worked for Thompson Auto Supplies In Swift Current and Rosetown. Gus' call letters VE5BU are well known by Ham Operators around the province.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mabel and his daughters, Genevieve (Wayne) Friesen of Mississauga, ON, Janet Gilmour of Saskatoon and Marsene (Rudy) Sokalofsky of Saskatoon; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and brother, Ray of Deauville, PQ. He was predeceased by his mother, father and sisters, Lucy and Germaine. MURDOCK William 'Bill' Russell left his loved ones on Sunday, October 13, 1996 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 63 years, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Bill is survived by his wife, Nada; granddaughter, lesha; daughter-in-law, Christa; brother, Steve (Bev); sister, Goldie-Mae; brothers-in-law. Bill and Vic (Lorraine); sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Jenny (Bob); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Russell and his mother, Amy; his sister, Marlene; son, Michael; and grandson, Dustin. Bill was bom in Toronto on July 23, 1933. He served in the Canadian Army Peace Corps from 1951 till 1954.

In 1964, Bill married Nada (Boldue). Bill mined for many years the last being In Uranium City for Eldorado Nuclearfrom 1968 until it's closure in 1982, Moving to Saskatoon, he was employed by the National Defence at the Unicorn as a steam engineer, later being transferred to Dundurn Army Base. Bill retired In 1993. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 1996 at 2:00 p.m.

on April 19, 1926. He moved with his parents to Ranger, Sask. in 1930. Tom married Helen May Hill in Dec. 1946 and took over the family farm.

They later moved to the Spruce Creek district where they farmed until moving to Saskatoon In 1965. Tom worked at Palm Dairies for 22 years, and retired in 1991. Tom was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joys came from spending time with his family. His retirement brought nim enjoyment golfing with his friends, fishing, camping and watching his grandchildren grow up.

Tom is survived by his wife Helen; children Calvin (Brenda) and their sons Ryan and Ron; Victor (Sandy) and their sons Shawn, Brad, Jarett and Blair; Sandra (Lyle) Klassen and their son Tyler; Gary (Brenda) and their children Amy and Jason; brother Gordon Taylor; brother-in-law Harry Reeves; sisters Vivian Davis and Dorothy Easton; sister-in-law Kay Taylor. Tom was predeceased by his parents George and Kate Taylor, son Ronald James, brothers Nelson and Ronald, and sister Joyce. Service of Rememberance will be held Wednesday, October 16, 1996 at In the Chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Carr officiating. DENOMIE Rochelle Lynn "Our Precious Little Angel" received her eternal reward on October 1 3, 1 996 at the age of 1 2 years after a courageous six and one half months battle with cancer.

She will be forever loved and cherished by her mom and dad, Brian and Wanda; her sister. Amber; and brothers, Matthew and Evan; grandma and grandpa, Olivia and Earl Heagy; grandma, Helen Denomie; aunts and uncles, Sharon Korol, Gail (Keith) Ellis, Derrill Heagy (Natalie Kraft), Dalas (Therese) Heagy, Jay (Jackie) Heagy, Trevor Heagy. Bradley (Joy) Denomie, Brenda Denomie; numerous cousins that were very special to her and her special aunts and uncles; and well her Godfather, Bernie Korol; and best friend, Lindsay Guinan. Rochelle was only with us for twelve short years but taught us so much about caring, love and courage. She fought to the end, and her faith gave us the strength we needed.

She had so many friends who came to visit her while at home and In the hospital. Even though she didn't say much during the visit, she always said thanks for coming. Rochelle loved to dance, skate, bowl, play ball, draw, color, play cards, listen to music, but most of all she loved to be with people, she cuddled In any open knee she found. She cherished her special friendships. She will remain in our hearts forever, sadly missed and truly loved.

A very special thanks to Dr. All, Dr. McSheffrey, cancer clinic nurses, pediatric 3000 nurses, Debbie Arsaunalt, Sonya Collyer, Rev. Ester Patkau and to Saskatoon Home Care who enable her to be home surrounded by the people she loved. Your care and compassion will always be remembered and appreciated.

BELL The passing of Donald Charles Milton Bell of Saskatoon, SK occurred on Saturday, October 12,1996 in Royal University Hospital at the age of 46 years.

Donald was born on May 8, 1950 in Saskatoon, SK. He received his high school education at Walter Murray Collegiate, his B.Sc. (Biology) and B.S. A. at the University of Saskatchewan.

Donald volunteered for six years in the developing countries of Ghana and Zambia with CUSO In Ghana and with CIDA in Zambia. At present, he was employed with Unlveisity of Saskatchewan, Crop Development Centre in Barley Research. Donald is survived by his parents, Joan and Milton Bell of Saskatoon; sisters, Joyce (Dave) Heggie of Cochrane, AB and Marion (Bob) Nazar of High Prairie, AB; brothers, Douglas (Lynn Williams) Bell of Enderby, BC and Keith (Theresa Bradel) Bell of Regina, SK; nieces and nephews, Donnie, Ryan. Chelsey, Tegan, Graeme, Patrick and Caitlin; and special friend, John (Kelly) Wapass. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday.

James was born December 27, 1921 in Saskatoon. Dad is survived by his two children, Bill of Saskatoon and Linda of Lethbridge, AB; also their mother, Mildred of Saskatoon; grandchildren, David of Saskatoon, Rodney arid Ghislaine Haitel of Lethbridge, AB: one brother. Jim moved to Saskatoon in 1948 where he worked for a number of jobs. Jim then purchased a taxi franchise with United Cabs, retiring in 1985, after 22 years of serving patrons of Saskatoon. Jim enjoyed hunting, golfing and reading, he especially enjoyed golfing in his retirement years at the Wifdwood Golf Club where he spent time with his many friends. The Family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St.

Elsie was bom at Ellis, MBon February 15, 1901, the eldest of nine children. She was raised in McAuley, MB In 1929, she married Bill McAuley and they had one daughter. Sally. The family lived in Winnipeg and McAuley, moving to Saskatoon in 1947 where they were both employed at Yellow Cab. Elsie and Bill moved to Sidney, BC in 1957 and then to Ladner.

BC. They returned to Saskatoon in 1 985. They were both avid sports fans and especially enjoyed bowling. Elsie was predeceased by her husband. Bill in 1985 after 56 years of marriage.

She Is surviyed by her loving daughter, Sally Carlson (Jack); grandchildren, Laurie Andrusek (Ron), Tim Koemstedt and Barb Koemstedt; one sister. Paul of Winnipeg; three sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends. Brad and Shane. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 1 7 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev.

Gordon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed pipe bands, fishing and camping.

There will be a private family gathering at on October 16, 1996 at the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME. For those wishing to pay their respects, a Graveside Service will take place at at Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to attend may meet along Memorial Ave at the gates to the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME.
