CChheerryyll BBaallookk July 13, 1950 Nov. 4, 2006 IInn MMeemmoorryy ooff CChheerryyll BBaallookk Cheryl passed at home in Westminster, Colorado, after a courageous five-month battle with cancer. Daughter of John R.and Joan Balok (Snyder) of South Bend, to Steven Wolf, Jessica Wolf and Janelle Drake (Tim) of Westminster, to Peggy Wechter (Trell) of Elkhart, IN, Laura Minardi (John) of Highlands Ranch, CO, James Balok (Denise) of Allen, TX, and Janet Trent (Michael) of Noblesville, IN.

Cheryl graduated from South Andrew Jackson High School in 1969, attended Southwest College School of Nursing, Dowagiac, MI, and moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1972 where she attended Arapahoe College.Cheryl was a valued employee of Kaiser Permanente of Colorado for over 28 years. She had been honored as Employee of the Year in 1994 and received numerous employee commendations during her career. Cheryl touched many lives; she loved living in Colorado and the mountains. She was a friend to many and will be remembered for her kindness to all. Following wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services and reception were held on Saturday, November 11, 2006, in the Horan McConaty Family Chapel in Thornton, Colorado. Cheryl was taken from us too soon. She will be deeply will carry her in our hearts always.Cheryl’s motto was If you are not going to be better tomorrow then you were today, then why or what need do you have for tomorrow Free grieve for me, for now free. following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day.

To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.

Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now; He set me free.
