Emil was predeceased by his father Andrew in 1 963, his mother Julianna in 1 968, his brother Reinhold in 1976 and Katherine (Katie) in 1989. Emil was bom and raised in the Allan District where he farmed before moving to Saskatoon with his family. He was employed with several construction companies before retiring. He spent many happy summer months at the family cottage at Emma Lake. Emil will be fondly remembered for his wisdom, humor and warm heart.The family has requested memorial donations be made to the City Hospital Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation ot Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Ave.

McMILLAN The death ot Jennie (Jean) Clara McMillan, age 84 years, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, occurred in a local city hospital on Wednesday, February 28th, 1990. Surviving are her brothers: David (Winnifred) McIntyre of Surrey, B.C.

and Everton (Mary) McIntyre ol Saskatoon; sister Ada Urquhart of Edmonton, and sisters-in-law Pearl McIntyre of Delisle, Evelyn McIntyre of Almonte, Ont. and Mrs. Bobby McMillan of Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her husband Vic McMillan in 1957, brothers Cecil McIntyre of Almonte, Ont. and Mac McIntyre of Delisle, Sask.

and sister Violet Brown of Lang-ham, Sask. She showed a great interest in the extended family and is survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. Jean was bom in Clayton, Ontario. She spent her early years at Langham, Sask. where she taught school tor twelve years in the rural schools during the depression years before she took a course in cosmetology.

Jean worked a few years at the LaBelle Beauty Salon in Saskatoon, first as an operator then as an instructor, before operating a salon in the Pleasant Hill District for 1 5 years. The last eight years before retirement, Jean instructed in the school ot Cosmetology at the Sask. Institute of Applied Arts ad Science. Jean had a tremendous zest for living and was an active member of St. Thomas Wesley United Church, The Sweet Adeliners, the Soroptimist Club and a life member of the Royal Purple.

She enjoyed golf, curling and oil painting. During her early retirement, she was a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society and Meals On Wheels. She spent the winters from 1974 to 1908 in Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, 1036 College Drive, Saskatoon, S7N OWO; the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Avenue Saskatoon, S7K.2H8 or to a charity of Donor's choice. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 5th, 1 990 at 1 :30 p.m.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 1965. The late Mrs.

Stone was bom in England on December 22nd, 1900 and came to Canada in 1 904 to Halifax, N.S. In 1 906 she moved to the Weyburn district where she received her education After she married Gerald Stone, she lived at various places in Saskatchewan until her retirement in 1959, at which time she moved to Saskatoon and had resided here since. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Parkridge Centre, 1 10 Gropper Cres, Saskatoon, S7M 5N9. Cremation with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Krishtapovich was bom in Drohichin, White Russia on October 1 7th, 1 902. He immigrated to Canada in 1928, settling in Saskatoon. From 1931 until 1944 he resided on a farm atGlaslyn, moving back to Saskatoon in 1945. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL.

MITCHELL Barnet Austin Murray Mitchell went home on the evening of February 28th, 1990. We will remember Austin as a solid, upright Christian family man. He passed a legacy of a committed love for Jesus and Chnstian work ethics unto his children. All the family and friends will deeply miss Austin but rejoice that his suffering is over and that he is home with his Lord in glory. Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Jean; and their fouchildren and spouses, Grace (Rudy) of Grand Centre, Barry (Annabel) of Claresholm, Bruce (Terry) ot Manitou, Manitoba and Joy (Wes) of North Battleford, eight grandchildren, Lynn Safromuk and Brent Safronluk ot Edmonton, Sherry Mitchell of Lethbridge, Lori Mitchell and Debby Mitchell of Claresholm, Shaun Mitchell and Amber Mitchell of Manitou, Man.

Austin was predeceased by his parents Cyrus and Louisa Mitchell, three brothers, Roy, Cart and John and two sisters, Myrtle and Gladys. Austin was bom on March 27th, 1 908 at Douglas, Ontario, the youngest son of Cyrus and Louisa Mitchell. Cyrus Mitchell and family arrived In Kinistino In 1912.

Austin received his education in Shannonville and Kinistino. Alter Austin finished his schooling he joined his brother Carl in mink and fox (arming at Pas Trail. The outdoor life suited Austin and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Austin was also an enthusiastic ball player and loved to play In tournaments in his younger years. Austin was fond ol relating his numerous adventures which occurred during this time and kept many people entertained in his later years by the telling of the tales.

While at Pas Trail. Austin met Mary Jane (Jean) Smith and they married on September 21st, 1939. Austin and Jean spent fifty happy years together in marriage and through this union tour children were Kim: Grace, Barry, Bruce and Joy. Austin and family moved to Nipawin where he was employed at the Saskatchewan Timber Board until moving to Saskstoon in October of 1965. Austin worked as a carpenter and was active In this field until his retirement.

Austin came lo know Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior while in Nipawin. He evidenced a deep love for the Lord that continued throughout his life. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 1 1 :00 a.m. from Ebenezer Baptist Church (905 Taylor Street, East) conducted by Pastor Wes Long. Interment will follow In the Woodlawn Cemetery.

VALLEY VIEW (604) 596-8866. LAURITSEN On February 28th, 1990, Harold Lauritsen Sr. of Lanigan, Saskatchewan Gassed away in his 96th year at the Lanigan inion Hospital after a short stay there. Dearly cared tor to the very end by his loving wife Mary of Lanigan, SK. Also survived by; sons, Henry (Georgette) Lauritsen of Crossfield, Alberta, Nick ol Ontario; daughter-in-law Shirley Lauritsen of Grande Prairie, Alberta; numerous nephews, nieces and relatives in Canada and Denmark.

Predeceased by: his son Harold Lauritsen Jr. in July of 1988. The late Mr. Lauritsen was born in Kragelund, Denmark on May 29th, 1893. He served in the 1st Field Artillery, 4th Battery of the Royal Danish Army from 1 91 3 to 1 91 8 before immigrating to Canada in 1 926.

A butcher by trade he had a meat and grocery store in Warspite, Alberta plus a large livestock buying operation from the latter 1930 to 1951. In that year he moved his family to Saskatchewan and fanned in the Attica District until retiring in 1974 to their home in Lanigan, Sask. He learned to love his adopted country and always maintained it "was the best country in the world." Harold (Butch) Lauritsen will be londly remembered and missed by family and friends. Funeral arrangements are in care of Scharfs Funeral Home, Humboldt, Sask. with church services being held at Knox United Church in Lanigan at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 3rd, 1990.

Memorial donations to the Knox United Church would be appreciated WRIGHT The death of Gwendoline May Wright age 83 years ot Oliver Lodge, Saskatoon, passed away at the lodge on Tuesday, February 27th, 1990. Surviving are one daughter, Geraldine (George) Christensen ot Saskatoon; one son Gary (Shirley) Wright ot Lucky Lake, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Wright was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Charles Wright November 14th, 1988; an Infant daughter Elizabeth and two sisters Mrs. Wright was bom in Bristol, England and came with her parents to homestead in the Birsay district In 1908. She attended Teachers College in Saskatoon and taught at Handford and Newbank School Districts until her marriage. Mrs. Wright farmed in the Lucky Lake district with her husband until they retired to Saskatoon in 1 971 Mrs.

Wright was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Lucky Lake. The family would appreciate donations to Canadian Diabetic Association, P.O. Box 1763, Saskatoon, Sask. or Oliver Lodge, 1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, S7l 3R5. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 1990 at 1 1 :00 a.m.
