Jack leaves behind his loving wife ot 41 years, Pat; son, Scott; daughters, Shirley fiorioy (loronto), Laurie uxjnian (Calgary), Lynne (Ron) MacDonald (Calgary), Jan (Dave) Weimer and sister, Jean Dart (Glas-ryn); two brothers, Bob Coqhlan (Corunna, Ont Don Coghlan (Regina); five grandchildren, Cara, Steven, Evan, Kelly and Matthew. Jack was predeceased by his son Tom in 1977; mother Jessie and father Robert.

Bom in Elbow, raised in Glaslyn, Jack served in the R.C.A.F. during World War II as a flying officer. He was stationed in England and was shot down In a raid over Germany and spent the remainder of the war as a P.O.W. Upon arrival back to Canada, Jack spent several months in Saskatoon City Hospital where he met his bride, Pat Pryor his 1 R.N. In 1 951 he joined Sask.

Mutual Insurance Co. and became Claims Manager. Jack retired in 1985 after 35 dedicated years. He was an active member of St. John's Cathedral serving on the vestry and as the Dean's Warden.

He was an active member and Past Master of Asquith Lodge 146 A F. and A.M. and in 1990 was named MASON OF THE YEAR in Asquith Lodge. Jack's interest varied from sports to music. He played clarinet and saxophone in a dance band during his early years and later for the enjoyment of his family and friends.

As a lover of the north, Jack spent many summers up at Waskesiu with his family and friends and was an avid fisherman in the northern waters of Saskatchewan. Jack will be sadly missed by those many people who knew the kindness and generosity of this warm and gentle man. Funeral Services will be held from St. John's Anglican Cathedral on 81 6 Spadina Crescent on Friday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Very Rev.

Robert Blackwell. Interment will be made in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, Sask. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Research Foundation, Box 1866, Saskatoon, S7K 9Z9 would be greatly appreciated. McKAGUE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL, 300 Third Avenue South (664-3131) is in charge of the arrangements. MATTSON The death of Mr.

Lyle Kenneth Mattson, age 80 years, of Saskatoon, occurred in a Saskatoon Hospital, on Wednesday, March 20th, 1 991 Following cremation, a Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Stewart Dingwall. (Parking available north of the Chapel on Avenue N). Surviving are his loving wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Mrs.

Lorraine (Ron) Dale of Saskatoon, Mrs. Trudy (Vic) Arcand of Mayerthorpe, one son, Landon of Fort Nelson, B.C.; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Roslyn (Charlie) Graham of Northside, Mrs. Vivian Spiker of Crystal Springs, Mrs. Fern Hayden of Abbottstord, B.C.

and Mrs. Ethel (Stewart) Dafoe of White Rock, B.C.; one brother, Stanley (Jean) of Untlaw, Sask. The late Mr. Mattson was bom in Minnesota, USA and came to Canada as a child in 1912 to Crystal Springs, Sask. He was employed by the C.N Ft.

and resided at various points in Saskatchewan, including Debden where he resided for 25 years, before moving to Saskatoon in 1989. Mr. Mattson served with the Canadian Army overseas during WW II. Arrangements are in care of WESTWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL. SCOTT (Miller) The Funeral Service for Dorothy Scott, who passed away March 6th in Edmonton, was held March 1 2th at Howard McBride Westland Chapel in Edmonton.

Dor othy leaves to mourn two sons, Johnnie (pons) Miller of Nipawtn, ana tvan Miner oi Edmonton: and two daughters, Lucille Chlan of Vancouver, and Myma (Wesley) Gordon of Brampton, Ontario; ten grandchildren and 1 1 treat grandchildren; two sisters, Martha spelien, and Comie McDonald of Calgary, Alberta: and nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Miller, who died in 1945; and ner second nus-band. Clifford Scott in 1 966; her parents, Emil and Wilhemine Schamp; two sisters, Adelia Bourne and Lucille Diener; three brothers, Walter, Dick, and Ted Schamp. Dorothy was bom September 27th, 1900 in Des Moines, Iowa, married Jack Miller in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and then lived in Nipawin for many years. In 1954, she married Clifford Scott and moved to Regina, later to Saskatoon and then to Edmonton.

While In Nipawin, she worked in the Library and while In Regina for the Army Naw DeDartment Store. Dorothy was a hard worker, a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. There will be a Memorial Service in Nipawin at a later date. TRASK Marguerite Helena Trask, age 82 years of Sunnyside Nursing Home, Saskatoon, formerfy of Hanley, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, March 20th, 1991. She is survived by one brother.

Stewart (Gwen) Dingwall of Sask atoon, her sisters-in-law, Ethel Dingwall of Saskatoon, Irene Dingwall of Saskatoon, Gladys (Jim) Souster of Hams, Rosalee Johnson of Saskatoon, Nita (Jack) Haroldson of Hanley, her brother-in-law, Warren Trask of Portland, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Coral; sisters, Mary Dingwall and Jean Hunt; her brothers, Kenneth Dingwall (infancy), Fred Dingwall (World War II). Jack Dingwall, and Donald Dingwall; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Dingwall; her brothers-in-law Ray Hunt, Marion Trask (World War II) and Woodrow Trask (World War II). Marguerite was bom in Asguith, Sask.

She graduated from the St. Paul's Hospital School of Nursing In 1929, and was the recipient of the Gold Medal for the Highest Standard In Theory at that time. For a number of years she was President of the St. Paul's Hospital Nurses Alumna. During her career she worked on staff at St.

Paul Hospital; pnvate aury nursing; Intercontinental Packers; and the Saskatoon Medical Clinic Drior to her marriaae and mov ing to Hanley in the early 1 960's. She was a 35 year member of the Ladies of The Royal Purple Auxiliary of Hanley. Marguerite held a strong Interest In people; she enjoyed the company of family and friends. Other Interests included music, singing, painting, needlepoint, crocheting, embroidery and woodworking. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of choice.

Mrs. Drennan, eldest child of Charles and Ellen Bowes, was bom at Almonte, Ontar io on February 1, 1891. She moved with her family from Winnipeg, to the Dundum area of Saskatchewan in 1905.

In 1908 she married Herbert E. Drennan. Irene and Bert resided on the homestead he had taken up in 1903, (now the home of their son, Merle), until they retired from farming in 1953. At this time they took up residence in the town of Dundum. Until recently Mrs.

Drennan remained active in the community where she was widely known for her generosity and unstinting nospnaury. Always striving to create beauty in all she did, her garden reflected her personality as a show-place of a million smiling flower faces. Renowned for her expertise in the culinary arts she was especially well known as a master cake decorator, a skill she passed on to several younger women. Grandma (Nanna) Dren nan believed me best tnings in me were priceless. Her love for children was boundless.

Through the generations her cookies were the favorite snack of the "wee who payed freouent visits to her cozy kitchen. Mrs. Dren nan was predeceased by, her husband In 1 977; an infant son, Jackie in 1 91 1 an infant daughter in 1918; a daughter, Margaret (the late Sam) Hewitt in 1968 and by four brothers. McLeod is survived by his wife, Shirley; and his three sons, Russell (Joanne), Ronald (Wendy) and Rod ney; as well as four grandchildren, Cameron, Tara, Tresa and Sasna. Also surviving are his brothers, Donald and George; and sisters, Hazel and Mildred. Mr. McLeod was bom in Saskatoon on May 22nd, 1920, and resided in Saskatoon throughout, except for that period during which he served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Upon his discharge, Mr.

McLeod pursued a career in the public service culminating in his appointment as Saskatoon's first Direc tor of Personnel in 1950. In 1958 he was appointed Assistant City Commissioner, and assumed the position of City Commissioner in 1966 in which capacity he served until his retirement In 1977. He served In the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1945, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. Upon discharge, he continued as an active member of the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve, rising to the rank ol Lieutenant Commander, and assuming command of HMCS Unicom in Saskatoon. In addition, he was an active member of many community, regional and national public service associations and organizations.

It was Mr. McLeod express wish and desire that there be no funeral or other memorial service. Cremation arrangements are being conducted by the Saskatoon Funeral Home. and moved west to Saskatoon, Sask. in 1913. She was employed at the University of Saskatchewan where she met and married Professor John V. Bateman in 1925. Mrs.

Bateman belonged to the University Women's Club, Sewing Club, and was a life member of the St. James Anglican W. A. (November Cir cle). She played cello with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra for several years.

The Batemans moved to Victoria in 1 961 following his retirement, where they spent many happy years with family and friends.
