The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 1 .30 m.

Keisman from Asquith United Church, Asquith, Sask Surviving are two daughters; Phyllis (Archie) Gordon and Joyce (Ken) Huttman both of Asquith, seven grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one brother, Joe Anderson of Saskatoon and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Philip in 1974, her parents, Mr. Jacob and Mrs Martha Anderson and by three brothers; Walter, Andrew and Alfred The late Mrs.

Cattell was bom in Esmond, North Dakota and came to Saskatchewan as a young child. She marned Philip Cattell in 1 923 and they fanned in the Asquith area In 1 950 they moved their farm home into the town of Asquith and they continued to farm until 1961 when they retired. They resided in Asquith until she moved into Oliver Lodge in 1985. She loved flowers, her yard and her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memonal donations may be made to the Asquith United Church Memorium Fund, Asquith, Sask.

A Public viewing will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 31 1 Third Avenue North on Fnday evening, May 4th from 7.00 to 8 00 Interment will take place at Asquith Cemetery, Asquith, Sask. Arrangements are in care of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL. COOKE Mr. Gabriel James Cooke, age 81 beloved husband of Mrs Lydia Cooke of Saskatoon died at his residence on Saturday, April 28th, 1 990. Surviving are his loving wife, Dons (Johannson); one daughter, Sandra (Lyle) Butler (nee Engemoen) of Prince George, B.C.; two sons, Brian (Sherry) of Pnnce Albert and Lee (Yvette) of Saskatoon; three grandchildren, Tracy (Kelly) Rommel (nee Butler) of McKenzie, B.C., Terry Butler of Pnnce George and Kelly-Lee Engemoen of Prince Albert, five brothers, Clarence (Agnes) of Saskatoon, Lyle (Lorene) of Vancouver, Ernest of Vancouver, Norman (Tom) of Vancouver and Vem (Mavis) of Kamloops and one sister, Lillian Pinkerton of Canora, Sask. He was predeceased by his mother, Mabel in 1938; his father, Albert William in 1 976, brothers, Harold in 1935, Lloyd in 1982 and sistors, Violet in 1974, Ruby in 1980, Pearl in 1989 and Evelyn in 1926. Roy was bom at Sunburst, Montana on May 27, 1916, to Albert and Mabel Engemoen. Roy and his family moved to Broderick, Sask. in 1919, when he was only three years old and then to Wadena in 1 926 He took his public school at Sunderland School east of Wadena.

In 1941 he moved to Saskatoon, where he worked at various jobs. He married, Dons Johannson at Fort William, Ontario on September 29, 1944 He continued to work there for Fort William, Canada Car. In 1 945 he moved back to Saskatoon working tor Grey Cab and Saskatoon Funeral Home for three years from 1 952 until 1 955 he started working tor the Provincial Government in 1955 and retired from the School for the Deaf in 1 981 He had resided here until his passing. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and fnends. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Courtesy parking south of the Chapel ot the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME on 4th Ave.

N. at 25th Street. McNOLTY G. Howard passed away peacefully April 27, 1990 In his 97th year. He was predeceased by his wife Florena, daughter Verna-Marie and son Alex, brother Larry, and three sisters Adell, Ethel and Gladys.

He was born in Sudbury, Ont. in May 1893, then moved with his family to Keewatin, then to Saskatoon, before homesteading in Manitoba and BC. He was self-employed umtl his death. Howard was an honourary and active member ot the Saskatoon Thrashermen's Club, known as Pion-Era He was a veteran of WW II, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 260 in 1 00 Mile House, BC. Mr.

McNolty was believed to have been Pion-Eras and the Legion Branch 260's oldest member. Mr McNolty was survived by two daughters, Mickie Coulter of Tsawwassen, BC and Eva Hogg Bruns of Richmond, two sons, Clifford and Elmer, both ol Lone Butte, BC, 21 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren Services will be hold Fri May 4 from St David's Anglican Church in Tsawwassen at 2 00 It desired donations may be made to the General Hospital, 1 00 Mile House, BC. This special ancestor will be greatly missed by a legacy ot five generations whom he influenced with his zest lor life! HECTOR The death of Caroline Julia Hector, age 89 years ot Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, occurred in a local hospital on Monday, April 30th, 1990. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday. May 3rd, 1990 at 3 30 m.

Hector of Edmonton, three brothers Raymond and Eddie Bindle of Saskatoon, Otto Bindle of Thompson and a sister Minnie Randall of Saskatoon in addition to a number ot cousins, nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her husband S.

(Stan) Hector in 1973, her parents Michael and Julia Bindle, two brothers Rudolph and Ferdinand, two sisters Molly Joyce and Tillie Bindle Caroline was bom in Austria in 1900. She came to Canada in 1913 settling with her parents, brothers and sisters in the Haultam district south of Saskatoon. In 1 91 3 she started working at Dundurn and while working at the Schwager (arm she met Stan Hector who had come from Hamilton on a harvest excursion. They were marned in 1 921 at that farm pnor to moving to Hamilton. A son Frank was bom in 1923 and in 1927 the Hectors moved back west to farm in the Bradwell distnct Dunng the thirties in spite of the drought and the dust, Caroline enjoyed the many triends and relatives who would visit the farm on Sundays.

They never left without a home cooked meal which would cover the spectrum from Yorkshire Pudding to perogies and from home made ice cream to strawbemes. She was generous with her garden produce, her sympathy and her time One of her special crafts was crocheting which she passed on to some of the local young ladies of the community by conducting classes on the farm. Dunng the forties with the Alaska Highway under construction she and her husband travelled to Ft. Nelson to look after feeding the employees of A. A.

Voice a highway contractor and old fnend. They returned to the (arm moving to Saskatoon in 1953. In Saskatoon Caroline was quite active using her considerable cooking and other talents. She worked part time at the Swing Inn restaurant on 8th Street and later did some catering on her own. Caroline was always concerned about the welfare of others.

She spent many hours visiting fnends in the hospital and helping them in other ways. As a care giver she worked tor some time at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. Jim was bom September 1 1 946 He was raised in Tessier where he took his elementary schooling and he went to high school in Rosetown and Hams. Jim marned Nada Sinclair on December 18, 1971 in Swift Current. Jim was a devoted worker tor 23 years to Sask Energy. His job took him to work in Saskatoon, Swift Current, Unity, North Battleford and lastly Kerrobert where he accidentally lost his life while out on a service call.

Jim was a good husband, father, son, brother and friend He took pride in his home, job and community. He was presently a member on the Ken-obert Town Council and on the United Church Board. Jim was Past member of Kinsmen and Elks in Swift Current and Unity, responsible tor reorganizing the Scouting movement in Kerrobert. Jim enjoyed curting, golfing, gardening and spending time at Atton's Lake. He was a faithful member on coffee row with lots of stones and iokes to tell.

He was an avid Kerrobert Tiger hockey fan. Born May 3rd, 1903 in Stirling, Ontario, Jean was christened Jennie Alberta Burnett. Jean's family movedto Rosebank, Manitoba and bought land near Miami in 1 914 After completing high school at Miami, Jean graduated from Normal School in Winnipeg in 1926 Jean taught in rural schools in Manitoba until 1930. While visiting her sister, Till, who was teaching near Springwater, Saskatchewan Jean met some people from Brodenck who were looking for a teacher.

Jean taught in a school six miles east of Brodenck Later Jean taught at Bladworth, Spring-water, Hawarden (1937) and in the Bethlehem area. Jean came to teach at Valley Park School near Pike Lake from 1940 to 1942 where she met George Wilson. Jean then took a teaching job at Melville but George convinced her to return to Pike Lake. George married Jean on December 22nd, 1945 at Melville, Saskatchewan. They never had a tancy wedding reception until 40 years later.

Jean was very active in the Pike Lake community. She taught Sunday School and helped out in all the strawberry teas and fowl suppers. She was a charter member of the Women's Institute Homemakers Club and St Martens' "Friendly Jean and George took their first holiday in Montreal for Expo 67. They sold their farm in 1982 and moved into Saskatoon. In 1985 relatives and neighbours held a huge 40th wedding anniversary celebration for Jean and George Wilson to express their gratitude for their many years of tireless volunteer work for the Pike Lake community.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Earle) Mahaffy, Victoria, B.C., and Judy (Dennis) Strauss of Saskatoon; four grandchildren, Jim (Linda) Mahaffy, Maureen (Randy) Clinch, David (Wendy) Strauss, and Knstm Strauss; five great grandchildren, Brent James and Sara Mahaffy, Robin and Blaire Marguente Ulrich, and Katrina Strauss; four sisters, Hilda Johnston, Olive Dennis, Ann (Stan) Holler and Shirley (Len) Ingalls, her sister-in-law, Lillian An-detson, and two brothers-in-law, Howard (Beth) Heath, and Tom (Grace) Alexander. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Alexander in 1984, two brothers, Harvey and Charlie, and one sister, Eva Heath. Mother was born in Ontario to Henry and Violet Anderson, and came with her family to Rosetown as a child. After attending school in Rosetown, she graduated from tne Saskatoon Normal School and went to teach in the elementary schools at Biggar, Coleville, and Laura. The young principal at Coleville was Jim Alexander She and Dad were married in 1931 and settled in Saskatoon, he to teach in the public schools and she to begin her career as a homemaker.

The war years took the family to Yorkton, Regina and Summerside, PE.I., where Dad was stationed with the R.C.A.F. Like other young wives during those years, Mom strength shone through as she earned the family responsibilities, especially when Dad was overseas. When the family returned to Saskatoon, Mom resumed her activities in Westminster (later Grace-Westmmster) United Church, serving in the UCW, on the Board of Stewards, and as an elder. For many years she was an enthusiastic member of the Nuta-na Curling Club. She expressed her artistic talent in the crafts she enjoyed needlepoint, ceramics, and sewing.

An avid reader, she was always well informed about the affairs of the world. Wherever the family settled, our Mom created a secure and cheery home for us all. We know she is at peace, but we will miss her. She was a loving mother and grandma, a devoted wife, and a loyal friend. Richard was bom In Dunkirk, New York on December 23rd, 1957 He spent his childhood in Florida and attended college in St Paul, where he met his wife. They were married on August, 30th, 1980 and he lived ten very happy years with Judy in Saskatoon.

He was employed at Jubilee Ford as a Quality Care echmcian. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, skiing and performing for deaf cultural events He was very proud to be the photographer for the National Festival ot the Arts 88 in Saskatoon. His dogs, Amy and Angel, gave him great pleasure and he enjoyed training, showing, walking and playing with them. His ever-present smile, cheerful personality and positive attitude will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
