JJoohhnn CCllaarrkk March 18, 1923 May 19, 2003 John T.Clark, 80, of Eastgate Circle, Mishawaka, passed away after an illness at 1:35 p.m. on Monday, May 19, in Saint Joseph Care Center- West, South Bend, Ind. John was born on March 18, 1923, in Jackson, as the son of the late Roy and Maggie (Carpenter) Clark.He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, Cullen, Lee Roy and Henry. On March 12, 1945, in London, he married the former Betty Lou Taylor, who survives.He is also survived by a daughter, Sueann (William) Petzold of South sons, Thomas (Linda) Clark of Cassopolis, and James (Anna) Clark of South grandchildren, John Petzold, Tammy Seltzer, Tracey Gunn, Tara Sue Szabo, Steven Clark and David great- sisters, Gertrude White of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marie Bray, Sallie Ascherman and Corena Clemons; and by three brothers, Jim Clark, Milton Clark and Dennis Clark, all of Kentucky. John was a benchman for Huckins Tool Die in South Bend for 30 years before retiring in 1986.He was a member of the American Legion in Three Rivers, and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans.John and Betty Lou retired to Clear Lake in Michigan, then moved back to Mishawaka in 1999.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m.on Thursday, May 22, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W.8th Street, Mishawaka.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday following the visitation, with Rev.Brian Beall of Keller Park Missionary Church officiating. 16, 1955 May 19, 2003 Jeffery Charles Etoll, 47, of South Michigan Street, passed away at 3:40 a.m.on Monday, May 19, in his residence. He was born on Nov.16, 1955, in Bryan, Ohio, to Vincent F.and Frances M. (Farrge) Etoll, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his life partner of 24 years, Edward J.Roose, with whom been with since June 2, Judith (Ellis) Solomon of LaGrange, in-law, Roni Joseph (Nancy) Etoll of Marietta, and James (Lynne) Etoll of Napoleon, Liza Ogden, Elizabeth Etoll, Morgan Etoll, Sherry Washburn and Tracey by nephews, E. Brandon Solomon, Michael Solomon, Joey Etoll, Phillip Etoll and Troy Farkas.

Jeffery was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.He was employed by Are the past five years, and previously Hacienda Restaurant. DDoorriiss HHeennddeerrsshhoott Nov. 24, 1932 May 19, 2003 Doris M.Hendershot, 70, of Valparaiso, for 44 years, formerly of Muncie, passed away Monday, May 19, in the VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was born on Nov.24, 1932, in Muncie, to Harry and Lillian (Sims) George.Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and by a grandson, Payton Cole Hendershot. Doris was a graduate of Muncie Burris High School.She worked as a teller for 17 years at the First National Bank of Valparaiso.Doris was a charter member of the After Dinner Set Extension Homemakers Club.She was a giving and selfless mother who always put her family before her own needs.Doris loved her grandchildren and looked forward to spending time, especially Christmas, with them.Her spirit of Christmas giving will be carried on through them.Throughout her illness Doris knew God was always faithful.She trusted in Him to be her personal savior and was recently baptized into Christ.She was loved by many and will be missed by her family and friends. On Dec.29, 1957, in Muncie, she married George Hendershot, who survives.She is also survived by a daughter, Sheri Hendershot of South Bend, sons, Gregg (Angela) Hendershot of Matthews, N.C., and Steven (Lori) Hendershot of Mishawaka, sister, Martha Barrett of Muncie; and by 10 grandchildren, Ryan Koskovick of South Bend, Nathan, Grant, Nicolas, Noah and Paige of Matthews, and Kaitlin, Alex, Sam and Madelyn of Mishawaka.

Lucil was born Aug.11, 1930, in Leoma, to Frank and Vernie (Rogers) Hurn.On March 27, 1948, she married Arold D.Long.Her parents and her husband have preceded her in death. Lucil leaves to cherish her memories her son, Danny Long of Elkhart, Darlene Morgan of Lurndon Hurn of Muncie, Opal (Ken) Abercrombie of Adam Long, Dan Morgan and Denise four great-grandchildren. Lucil was formerly employed by Adams Westlake for several years.She was very active in Ireland Road Church of God, was a member of the Ladies Ministries, and helped with the Welcome Center at the church.Lucil was also a member of the Recycled Teen-agers Club, sang in the senior citizens choir, and helped in the preparation of food for funeral luncheons at the church. Mr.Mink retired from Hill-White Trucking and also had been employed by Norwalk Truck Lines.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Buchanan 484.Lucky was a member of American Legion Post 284 and V.F.W.9820.He was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and was a big Notre Dame fan. Mr.Mink was born on Aug.20, 1920, in Bay, to Thomas and Nancy Mink.On Feb.23, 1946, in South Bend, he married Mary E.Lukacs, who died on Jan.30, 2000. He is survived by a daughter, Debra (Wayne) Folse of New Orleans, son, Thomas (Patricia) Mink of Indianapolis, sisters, Lesie Mink of Bowman, and Ruth Hunnicutt of South by a brother, Alton of Arkansas. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m.Friday, May 23, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where friends may call one hour prior to services.

He was born on May 10, 1933, in Plymouth, to Robert and Audry (Hindel) Porman, who preceded him in death.He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. On April 17, 1991, in South Bend, he married Roberta Crossley, who survives him.Cecil was a loving father to Timothy D. Porman of South Bend, Mark A. Porman of Mishawaka, Phillip L.

Porman of Culver, Cecil R. Porman of South Bend, Chrissy C. Bonek of South Bend and Bobbie M.Porman of Freda Kulwicki of Arizona and Laura Crossley of Ligonier, stepson, Larry Crossley of Granger, grandchildren; and a sister, Bette Hoof of South Bend. Cecil was a foreman with South Bend Freight for 21 years. Cremation will take place, with private burial at a later date.ST.

She was born on May 14, 1910, in Berrien Springs, to A. Eldon and Vena (Bowerman) Feather.A lifetime resident of Niles, Mrs.Truesdell retired in 1975 after nine years of employment with the Simplicity Pattern Company, Niles.She was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Niles-Buchanan Y.M.C.A., both in Niles.

On Dec.15, 1928, in Niles, she married Fayette C.Truesdell, who died Feb.14, 1982.She was also preceded in death by a son, John Truesdell, who died June 4, 1997; a sister, Ferne stepbrother, Louis by a friend, Jim Clements. Mrs.Truesdell is survived by her children, Karen Cummins and Kenneth Worl) Truesdell of in-law, Delores Truesdell of Niles; and by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Helen was born on Oct. 11, 1928, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Antonina (Putek) Rybak.

On Oct.8, 1955, in South Bend, as Helen A.Rybak, she married John E.Vukovits, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1998.Mrs. Vukovits was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and John Rybak. Helen is survived by two sons, Gary Vukovits and Terrance Vukovits, both of South grandson, Peter godchildren, Jaime and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs.Vukovits was a credit clerk for NIPSCO for 38 years before retiring in December 1988.She was a parishioner of St.Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and a Forever Learning Institute student.She enjoyed quilting and shared many of her quilts with her family.Helen especially loved spending time with her grandchild, Peter.
