She taught school near Elbow for two years following high school. Evelyn went to Business College in 1955 and was employed by the Bank of Montreal and Scotia-bank until ill health forced an early retirement in 1976.

Evelyn was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Anderson In February 1972; her father, Harry Anderson In April 1982; and a baby brother, Ronald In April 1937. She Is survived by one sister, Joan Leonard of Saskatoon; one brother, Walter Anderson of Hanley; two nieces, Bev Scott and Lisa Anderson; one nephew, Verne Leonard; and two great-nieces, Erin Scott and Emily Leonard. He Is survived by hls parents; five brothers, Jason, Rick, James, Brent and Bradley; two sisters, Candace and Shannon; grandparents, Henry and Irene Gerard and Gilbert and Josette McCallum; numerous nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Michael was born and raised in Saskatoon and was attending Joe Duquette High School at the time of hls passing. The Wake will be held on Tuesday evening, November 2, 1999 at Joe Duquette High School, 9 1 9 Broadway Avenue. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m, on Wednesday, November 3, 1999 also at Joe Duquette High School.

BECKER William 'Bill' Frederick Becker of Saskatoon, passed away Sunday, October 3 1 1999 at the age of 84. Bill was born In Cran-brook, BC on February 22, 1915. In 1927, hls family moved to Rich View district, Just north of Gull Lake, SK. Music was always an Integral part of hls family and In the 1930's the band rBill's Hillbillies" was formed.

In 1945, Bill married Pearl Haggart, then seven years later, after the birth of two of their three children, he went to Barber School and began barberlng In Gull Lake at the Billiard Hall. Shortly thereafter their youngest child was born. In i960, Bill and hls family moved to Saskatoon and he continued barberlng until retiring In 1980. During hls retirement hejoined the "Boom-Boom Band" of which he was the youngest member. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge No.

1 2 and served as Exhalted Ruler. Bill Is survived by his wife. Pearl Becker; three children, Caroline Becker of Vancouver, Elaine (Garry) Skipper and Joan Braun of Saskatoon; hls five grandchildren, Dwayne, Derwln, Nathan, Michael and David; hls three great-grandchildren, Alicia, Michael and Kyle; hls three sisters, Kathleen (Jim) Anderson of Creston, BC, Mae Smythe of Calgary, AB and Hazel (Dayton) Toney of Gull Lake, SK; and one brother, Alex (Mary) Becker of Medicine Hat, AB; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by hls parents, Fred and Violet Becker; sister, Violet Holtby; brother. It Is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, our Friend Dad was born on the family homestead In 1 926 where he lived until 1953 when the flooding river forced the Valley Park residents to move up to the hills. He married Lillian on June 25, 1954 and together they farmed the land that Dad loved so much. Mom passed away on August 7, 1993 and Dad continued to farm until the recent years as he passed the day to day farming tasks on to his sons, Les and Dale he remained their guide.

Dad was also predeceased by his mother, Anna In 1957; his father, Andrew In 1961; sister. Magnhild (Mickey) In 1987. Dad Is survived by his loving children, son, Leslie Wayne (Cathy), grandchildren, Amy, Clinton, Lindsey; son, Dale Elvln (Doreen), grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Jordy; daughter, Doreen Ann Smuda (Dale), grandchildren, Britney and Deanna; sisters, Lily Clark, Alma and Myrtle Dahlen; brother, Adolph Dahlen; many brothers and sisters-ln-law; nieces, nephews and life long friends. Dad's life was his family, his farm, his home. We were raised in the same house he was born In there were renovations In 1961 and 1976 but the log floor joists remain under the living room floor just as his dad had placed them.

Family Farm -two words separate have much meaning -together even more. Dads love for us, his children and our families, can not be described In words. We are proud to call you Dad God Bless You. ATCH Eleanor Mary Ratch passed away on Sunday, October 31, 1999 at Central Haven Special Care Home with her grandchildren, Nadine and Grant at her side. Eleanor fought a long and difficult battle with cancer with courage, dignity, vigor, quiet acceptance and undying faith, Eleanor leaves to mourn her passing, her sons, Richard (Marilyn) of Saskatoon and Jerry (Donna) of Francis, SK; and daughter, Vivian of Saskatoon; eight grandchildren, Greg (Gloria) of Regina, SK, Lisa (Jeff) of Sylvan Lake, AB, Rachel (Paul) of Vibank, SK, Mathew of Regina, SK, Candace (Gus) of Calgary, AB, Devin of Regina, SK, Nadine of Saskatoon, SK and Grant of Regina, SK; four great-grandchildren, Connor and Cara of CaTgary, AB, Jamie of Vibank, SK and Taylor of Sylvan Lake, AB; one sister, Lilian of Calgary. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Magdalen Pollreis; husband, Jack; two brothers, Rudy and Bill. Bom In Humboldt, SK on May 15, 1919, Eleanor grew up on a farm the third child of four. At the age of twelve years, Eleanor became Invaluable to her father In the care of her younger sister, her grandmother and the household when her mother passed away.

Eleanor married Jack Ratch In Humboldt on July 13, 1942. After spending three years In Thunder Bay, ON, six years In Fork River, MB, Jack and Eleanor resided In Kelvlng-ton, SK from 1 953 to 1 968 where Eleanor was an active member of the Catholic Womens' League and she and Jack were cherished members of the local Square Dance Club, Jack and Eleanor spent their final years In Saskatoon where they enjoyed old time dancing cards, camping and travelling. Eleanor's kind, loving, compassionate, nurturing nature guaranteed she would always be available to lend a helping hand to family members and friends. Eleanor had many talents including sewing, gardening, homemaking and organizing. The Ratch and Ashley families wish to extend their appreciation to the staff at Central Haven Special Care Home for the care of their mother and grandmother and the kindness and consideration shown to the family, particularly during her final days.

The Vigil of Prayer will be held Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 18-33rd Street East. The Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at 1 1:00 p.m. celebrated by Rev.

SHEVELA Emil, beloved husband of 35 years to Sally (Hnatlw) passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 30, 1 999 at the age of 63 years.

Loving father and grandfather (Pop) to Brian (Joanne), Randy (special friend, Rudy and children) and Travis; granddaughters, Holeigh, Emlly-Anne and Morgan; brother to Morris (Evelyn), Connie Sebesten and Audrey Ehmann; and numerous nieces and nephews. EmU was born on November 30, 1935 In Pun-nlchy and attended rural school at Perryvllle. After completing his schooling, Emil moved to Regina where he began his life-long career as a floor-covering technician. In 1962, Emil was transferred to Saskatoon where he made many more business associates and life-long friends. Emil enjoyed entertaining and socializing with many close friends creating lasting memories.

Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pauline; and two brothers-ln-law, Ted and John. Prayers will be held Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. and The Divine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at 10:00 a.m celebrated by Fr. Frank Szadlak, C.Ss.R, Both services will be held from Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 10th Street and Munroe Avenue, Saskatoon, SK. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, SK.
