The StarPhoenix Online Deaths 1000 DAHLEN Elvln Oliver, March 29, 1926 - October 29, 1 999. It Is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, our Friend Dad was born on the family homestead In 1 926 where he lived until 1953 when the flooding river forced the Valley Park residents to move up to the hills. He married Lillian on June 25, 1954 and together they farmed the land that Dad loved so much. Mom passed away on August 7, 1993 and Dad continued to farm until the recent years as he passed the day to day farming tasks on to his sons, Les and Dale - he remained their guide. Dad was also predeceased by his mother, Anna In 1957; his father, Andrew In 1961; sister. Magnhild (Mickey) In 1987. Dad Is survived by his loving children, son, Leslie Wayne (Cathy), grandchildren, Amy, Clinton, Lindsey; son, Dale Elvln (Doreen), grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Jordy; daughter, Doreen Ann Smuda (Dale), grandchildren, Britney and Deanna; sisters, Lily Clark, Alma and Myrtle Dahlen; brother, Adolph Dahlen; many brothers and sisters-ln-law; nieces, nephews and life long friends. Dad's life was his family, his farm, his home. We were raised in the same house he was born In - there were renovations In 1961 and 1976 but the log floor joists remain under the living room floor just as his dad had placed them. Family Farm -two words - separate have much meaning -together even more. Dads love for us, his children and our families, can not be described In words. We are proud to call you Dad - God Bless You.
