Deaths Deaths Death! Deaths 1000 1000 1000 1000 ARNOT Margaret Helen, formerly Woods passed away June 2001 at her residence. Margaret was born July 17, 1928 at Sutherland, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Annie Woods; her husband, Robert Arnot In 1975; and by her brother, Robert Woods. Left to mourn Margaret's passing are her sister, Dorothy Schmautz; niece Gail (Doug) Fletcher; brother, Jim Woods (Diane); sister-in-law, Donelda Woods; nephews, Danny and Randy and their families; her aunt, Mary Unger of Vancouver; and by the Arnot family. Margaret will be remembered for her love of gardening, crafts and by her paintings.

She worked for the Bank of Montreal. It was Margaret's wish that cremation take place and no funeral be held. Memorial donations may be made to A.L.S. or charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME, 244-5577.

MCDONALD Gordon Allen McDonald was born January 19, 1922 on the family farm at Lacadena, SK, he passed away June 1, 2001, at Porteous Lodge in Saskatoon, SK, He was the third born child and oldest son of Bill and Elizabeth McDonald. During WWII he joined the RCAF. On August 20, 1945 he married May O'Neal of Sackvllle, NB, They farmed at Lacadena until 1962, when they moved to Saskatoon where they spent the rest of their lives. Gordon was predeceased by his wife, May on January 17, 2001; his parents. Bill and Elizabeth; two sisters, Isabelle and Florence; three brothers, Elwood (In Infancy), Clayton and just last week his youngest brother, Alison, Left to mourn his passing are his four children, Janis (Philip) Williams, and Bill McDonald, both of Saskatoon, SK, Glen McDonald of Elrose, SK and Joan (Scott) Kent of Wlnnemucca, Nevada; thirteen grandchildren and four great- grandchlldren; brother, Clarence (Murlei) Mc-onald; sister, Hazel (Ken) Fowler; and sister-in-law, Ruby McDonald.

The Funeral Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 31 1 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 1:30 p.m,, officiated by Rev. Dale Morrison. Interment will take place In Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, SK following the service. She was born at Plum Coulee, Manitoba, the daughter of Johann Wiens and Nettie Dyck, the youngest member of a large family. In her early years of life the family moved to a farm near Rush Lake, Sask.

Her mother died when Amanda was six and she was placed in care of older sisters until her father remarried and she came to live with them at Herbert, Sask. She received her high school education, then took Teacher's Training at Regina Normal School. She taught In two schools In Saskatchewan, then moved to Ontario to teach In her sister's private school at Simcoe and In another school in the area. She took nurse's training at Victoria Hospital, London and nursed for a time at Simcoe. She volunteered for service under the Women's Missionary Society of the United Church and prepared to be a dental nurse In West China.

This was prevented by the War and the closing of the Pacific. She met Bert Mather at a youth camp and later at the University of Toronto. They were married on June 10, 1942. Followlhg Bert's Ordination they moved to Sexsmith, Alberta where their son, John was born. Their daughter, Gwen was born while they lived at Donalda.

The family have also lived at Veger-vllle, Saskatoon and Calgary. Bert and Amanda lived at Davidson and in their retirement again In Saskatoon. Amanda, during her seventy years conducted three successful tours of China. Surviving are her husband, Bert; son, John (Enevda) of Vancouver; daughter, Gwen (Peter) Thomson of Saskatoon; grandson, Steven, Matthew, Sebastian and Andy; granddaughter, Jillian; dear friend of the family, Hilary Fraser of Dartmouth, N.S.; also numerous nieces and nephews, The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at McClure United Church.

Memorial donations may be made to McClure United Church, a charity of your choice or St. Paul's Palliative Care. Interment will take place In the Glenslde Cemetery, Arrangements are In care of the OUTLOOK FUNERAL CHAPEL KELLER It is with deep sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of their dear mother, sister and grandmother, Mary Keller of Saskatoon, SK at age 63. She passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2001 in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital following a ear long courageous struggle with cancer, lary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Sheryl (Greg) Zles-mann and their son, Keller; Byron (Brenda) Keller and their daughter, Tenllle; her sister and best friend, Alvina Rlsling (Jake Thlesen); as well as numerous In-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends. She Is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Keller; her parents, Lambert and Elizabeth Duchscher; her sister, Doris Uhrich; and her nephew, Trent Uhrich.

Mary was born In Scott, SK on February 16, 1938, the youngest of three daughters. She spent her childhood years on a farm outside of Revenue, SK. She married Joseph on November 10, 1958 and they spent their married years In Saskatoon. Mary stayed at home raising her family until she took a part-time position at The Bay from which she retired 25 years later. While at The Bay, she met many people who became dear and close friends.

Mary's family meant the world to her but her greatest passion was her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. Mary and her sister, Alvina enjoyed many travels and adventures. She also loved sports, which Included cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, She was often found In many hockey arenas, ball diamonds and soccer fields, being the biggest fan of first her son and later her granddaughter. Mary has left with her family and friends many memories that will be greatly treasured. Vigil of Prayer will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 31 1 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK on Monday, June 4, 2001 at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Spadina Crescent East and 5th Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 10 00 a.m., with celebrant Very Rev. Fr. Len Cyr. Rite of Committal will take place In Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery, Saskatoon, SK.

WOROBETZ John, late of Prince Albert, passed away suddenly on June 1 2001 at the age of 78 years.

John was born In the village of Cnarobrlv. County Sokal, Western Ukraine on March 18th, 1923. In July of 1930 he Immigrated to Canada with his father, step-mother and step-brother and settled In the Krydor district. He attended Saskatoon Teacher's College In 1941. After one year of teaching In Smeaton, John enlisted In the army where he was stationed at Halifax, Winnipeg, Victoria and Vancouver during World War 11.

John and Elizabeth were married In Prince Albert In 1948, After teaching In the Prince Albert School Unit for 27 years he retired from teaching In June of 1978. He participated In numerous sports, Including curling, fastball and hockey. In 1964 he coached the East Central Fastball Team to a Provincial Championship. He was a great fan of the Prince Albert Raiders for many years. John unselfishly devoted his time to family and friends.

John Is survived by his wife Elizabeth; daughters, Patricia (lan) Codling and Cathy (Doug) Wallace; sons, Robert (Gloria) Worobetz, Terry (Michelle) Worobetz, and Patrick Worobetz; sister, Mary (Gordon) Elmer; brother, Murray (Olga) Worobetz; grandchildren, Tara MOFFAT Estelle Leona Esther was welcomed Into the arms of Christ on Friday, June 1 2001 At 74 her life reflected her love for family and the Lord. Friends In communities of Asquith, Moose Jaw, Abbotsford and most recently, Saskatoon fondly remember Estelle and her husband Graeme. Now that she Is gone we mourn her loss, but celebrate her life and are thankful she is with the Lord. Estelle Is dearly loved and remembered by her husband, Graeme; children, Rick (Carole) Moffat of Louisville, TX, Jackie (Al) Farrell and Lori (Lor-rle) Moffat both of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Cara-Lee, Norl-Lyn and Matthew Moffat of Saskatoon, Lavonne, Lelsha and Jon Farrell and Robin, Colin and Natalee Moffat all of Saskatoon; brothers, Kenneth (Doris), Manley (Joyce) and Fred (Laurene) Summach; sisters, Shirley (Ted) Forsyth and Olive Summach; brother and slsters-ln-law, George Seymour, Vivian and Joyce Summach. It Is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Brian James of Saskatoon, He was 69. Brian died suddenly at home after a long struggle with diabetes. He Is survived by his loving wife Anne and their children, Chris (Randy Barlow), Huw (Michele James), Sarah (Kurtis. Balon)i grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Ellen and Huw; his mother, Elizabeth James; Aunt Ollle and nu merous relatives In Wales, UK. Predeceased several aunts and uncles.

Brian was born ang educated In Wales. He received his B.A. (Hot hours) from Cardiff University and embarked on a long teaching career which took him to England, Singapore, Germany and several small towns In Saskatchewan, His last posltlort was as Principal of Warman High School frorfi 1986-1994. Upon retirement he enjoyed music) books, crosswords and was an avid rugby and soccer fan, He had a dry sense of humour much to the enjoyment and chagrin of his children, grandchildren, friends and students. The family would like to especially thank Brian'S primary Home Care nurse, Norma, the para'-medlcs and the R.U.H, emergency room staff who tried so hard to revive Brian on his last day, There will be a family service and Interment ot cremated remains In Wales at a later date.
