Shedd as a candidate for that very important office. We have been associated with Mr. Shedd for the past six years that he has been in public service and can point with pride to his accomplishments, In his six years as Mayor, he has graveled practically all the streets of Manila, a wonderful accomplishment when you realize it was done with precious little in the way of Mr. Shedd, during his administration, has built a sewage system second to He has extended the water facilities and added a purification system in order to bring water service to the entire town.

As a result of Mr. Shedd's efforts, Manila's antiquated telephone system was replaced with a modern one and was extended to include adjacent communities. Manila today enjoys one of the finest swimming pools in the county because of Mr. Shedd's desire at all times to better the standard of living of everyone. A modern, lighted ball park and recreational area is another accomplishment of Mr.

Shedd. A completely re-organized volunteer fire department is serving residents of Manila today because of his ceaseless drive. As a result of his foresight, courage, relentless effort and his ability to make decisions without prejudice, Manila has made tremendous progress in the last six years. Voters of Mississippi County, the office of County Judge requires honesty, integrity, ability and, above all, a desire to do at all times only those things that are best for all of us. It also requires aggressiveness and a Get-the-Job-Done attitude.

Mr. Shedd's accomplishments reflect all of the above prerequisites. Because we have seen him in action in bringing a business-like manner to our civic problems, because his reputation for ity, honesty and industry has been before us for six years, we feel we can heartily recommend him to the voters of this County.
