W. G. Arnold, chairman of the Junior Trivium Club's projects committee concerned locally with collection of stamps for the wound? I eri, has received a letter from Philip H. Cummings, distributor of the national project. The letter, addressed to children in the Liberty Elementary School, is reproduced here: "Somewhere in California or Washington State about 10 days from now a young man will come to a hospital, but he will come on a stretcher off a hospital plane or a hospital ship from Japan.

He was I wounded in Korea, i "He was like our big brothers and your fathers, and 1 hope he will not be one of them He may have had a hound dog and liked hunt- ing. or he may have been an Eagle Scout and enjoyed hiking. He probably played baseball and perhaps football. He had planned to do so many things in life -things that we all dream of taking a long trip, building a house, running a jgarage i the enemy bullet Hit him in the back. He move from the waist down, he will not run a i garage or at least not for many years.

He will i not build a house and instead of ranging the open prairie with a dog i and gun, he will lie in a fracture bed in a hospital and look at other brave men like himself. He will sometimes just feel that, he has no reason to be alive he will find people have I not forgotten him. He will, although weak, handle the little album that i i some school children in Texas care- fully saved their pennies to buy. He will find places for the stamps I and put in some of the stamps they (sent. Slowly he will realize that he still belongs to all of us and that we still care, and when he begins to take an Interest, he begins to be better.

will not make him walk or leave the hospital, but it will make him forget the pain and the dead legs and plan on building a stamp collection. That is what is called in big hospital words but you and 1 know just plain brotherly love, and you stop it with a bullet nor keep it out with a hospital wall. in he name of his man any many like him, I am privileged to I say thank you to you and your Attend Fellowship Young people of the Liberty Church of Christ attended a fellowship meeting and song service at Central Church of Christ, Houston, last Saturday night. A chili supper was enjoyed during the social hour The meetings are held each month in churches throughout the area, James O. Dobbs, minister, reports.

Card of Thanks is no death! The stars go down To rise upon some other shore, And bright in Heaven's jeweled crown. They shine forever The leaving of Diese earthly shores of our beloved little son and brother. Floyd Edward Gilmore, on last Friday can only leave in our hearts and minds a sorrow! known only to us, but the sympu thetic treatment, the proffered aid. the floral tributes, the words of kindness and condolence and the actual help of myriads of friends; made the burden of sadness more: bearable. He loved flowers in life, and so your floral tribute to him i seemed all the more precious to us.

To his little classmates with their tender sincere sadness: the graei- ous friends who helped in our home, the hospital and at the funeral par-; lor; the doctors, nurses and pastors who labored so hard to aid our beloved and us; Die individuals, i churches and organizations of Lib- erty and Jefferson Counties, and elsewhere who offered prayers for 1 deliverance of the dread disease from our little one as he suffered, the countless others who attended his funeral and in so many other ways helped to lessen our bereavement; we offer our deepest appreciation and thanks. All this, even though a result of this sad moment, makes us more satisfied with living in your midst. We have no fear hut that our child and brother rests in the arms of Jesus.
