A4 THURSDAY, JANUARY 27, 2005 Great Plains SALINA JOURNAL Deaths Funerals Donna Joyce Bullock Donna Joyce Bullock, 76, Salina, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005. Mrs. Bullock was born Donna Joyce Lindgren on Sept. 13, 1928, in Bridgeport.

She was co-owner of Shorty's Conoco in Boulder, and Hiwasse Service in Hiwasse, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gypsum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Verl "Shorty" Bullock; her parents, Carl Arthur and Edna May (Byrn) Lindgren; three brothers, Carl, Oliver and Bill Lindgren; and three sisters, Anna Tarbell, Beda Johnson and Eunice Shanahan. Survivors include a son, Don "Butch" and wife Grace of Boulder; a brother, Ted Lindgren of Assaria; a sister, Mayola "Macy" Langloss of Allerton, Iowa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m.

Douglas L. Clark HOISINGTON Douglas L. Clark, 79, Hoisington, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. Mr.

Clark was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Morland. He was a retired driller for Beredco Oil Co. His wife, Yalta, died in 2002. Survivors include three sons.

Dusty of Hoisington, Russell of Ponca City, and Ricky of Olmitz; three daughters, Donelda Lindsey of Marland, Jana Shaw of LaCrosse and Jodee Demel of Claflin; three brothers, Charles of Keewanee, and Bryce and John both of Hoisington; four sisters, Maries MiUer of Olympia, Shirley Hilburn of HiU City, Billye Yowell of Delphos and Patty Covalt of Riley; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 286 and VFW Post 7428.

Drummond was born Dec. 28,1944, in Seattle. He was retired from Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, N.M. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Hayslett. Survivors include a son, Bradley J. Hayslett Sr.

Charlotte McCabe WACO, Texas Charlotte McCabe, 83, Waco, formerly of Salina, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005. Mrs. McCabe was born Nov. 23,1921, in Salina, the daughter of the late Rufus and Zilla (Brown) Rhoades.

She was a graduate of Salina High School and a secretary at Salina Clinic. She was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, and was involved with Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels and many card clubs. She married Hobart J. McCabe on Nov 23, 1940, in Salina, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart; two sisters.

Ester Schaeppe and Avis Scholten; two brothers, Harold "Dusty" Rhoades, Paul Rhoades; and a grandson. Marc McCabe. Surviv.ors include two sons, Gary and wife Sharon of Greeley, and Roger and wife Alice of Waco; two sisters, Ruth "Molly" Kennedy of Salina, and Marjorie Norlin of Topeka, eight grandchildren. Heather Rhoades, Andy McCabe, Erin Fountain, Marcy Rohrig, Sheila Coffman, Matt McCabe, Kelly McCabe and Dr. Jessica McCabe; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carlson- Ford-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, KS 67401, Pastor Sue Ann Seel officiating. McCormack, 84, Norton, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. Mrs. McCormack was born Evelyn Dorothy Harbers on April 17,1920, in Prairie View. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Lewis, died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Hunter of Lincoln, a son, Bernard of Norton; two brothers, Stanley Harbers and Marvin Hai-bers, both of Prairie View; a sister. 23, 2005. Mrs. Ross was born Donna Jean Hensley on Sept. 29,1931, in Santa Fe, N.M., to Howard and Gladys (Mumford) Hensley She was a homemaker and seasonal tax preparer for Block. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles E.

24, 2005. Mrs. Sprijiger was born Edythe M. Stevens on Dec. 5, 1912, in Greeley, Colo.

Mrs. Stauffer was born Louise Jackman on May 8, 1939, near CircleviUe. She worked as a junior high and middle school secretary for 33 years. Survivors include her mother, Minnie Jackman, of Holton; her husband, Russell of the home; two daughters, Marcia Oom of Sabetha and Myla Matney of Tecumseh; a son, Michael of Glen Elder; a brother, Gary Jackman of cleviUe; a sister, Beth Mitchell of Holton; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; three step- grandchildren; and a step- great-grandchild. Gladys A. Waufle NORTON Gladys A. Waufle, 94, Norton, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005. Mrs.

Waufle was born Gladys A. Manners on March 28,1910, in Edmond. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, in 1979; and two children, Harold and Phyllis. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; a son, Darrel of Manhattan; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Main, Norton 67654. Maurine Eleanor Weisgerber Maurine Eleanor Weisgerber, 88, Salina, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. Mrs. Weisgerber was born Maurine Eleanor Armour on May 27,1916, in Niles.

She attended Kansas Wesleyan University and Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia. She taught elementary school for 11 years, including seven years at Solomon, and was a partner with her husband in and Orchard, Smolan. She was a charter member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, was an elder and was active in United Presbyterian Women. She was active in Retired Teachers, PTA and Kiwaniqueens. She ried Jack Weisgerber on Nov.

22,1950, at Niles. She was preceded in death by her husband, former Salina mayor Jack Weisgerber; and a brother, Curtis L. Armour. Survivors include a son, Jim and wife Sonja of Topeka; a daughter, Mary E. May of North Richland Hills, Texas; a brother, Robert E.

Armour of Salina; and three grandsons, John and Paul Weisgerber and Brett May The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, the Rev John Pehrson officiating. Mrs. Zaballero was born Marlene Eva on Jan. 12,1942, in the Philippines. She was a clerk at Alco and West's grocery store. Survivors include a daughter, Jenniffer Z.

Gaiser of the Philippines; a son, Amando E. of Salina; three sisters, Charlotte Sola of Hollywood, Cynthia Showalter of Abilene and Yolanda Meyer of Arcadia, two brothers, Daniel Eva of Arcadia and Perry Eva of San Francisco; and two grandchildren. She taught elementary school and received her Masters of Library Science from Emporia State University. She served as school librarian in Salina, Kansas, until her retirement in 1980. She was active in many civic and community affairs, was a life long Episcopalian and truly loved her church. Marianna has been a Colorado Springs area resident for 24 years where she enjoyed her many friends, bridge, books and her family. She was a member of the Garden of the Gods Club, Grace Episcopal Church, and the Junior League.

She has been living with her daughter, Virginia Foster, for the last five years in Woodland Park, Colorado. She is survived by her four children: Marianna Bantleon Nothern and her husband Austin, Topeka, Kansas: Harvey Bantleon Hoover and his wife Jill, Colorado Springs; Virginia Bemice Foster and her husband Mike, Woodland Park; Martha Nell Ritter and her husband Jim, Naperville Illinois; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and by her sister Virginia B. Brier, Topeka, Kansas. She was preceded in death by two children, John Henry Hoover and Elizabeth Jane Hoover and by her two husbands, Harvey Jewell Hoover and G. Phillips Bramwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Davids Episcopal Church, 36 Edlow Road, Woodland Park, Colorado 80863.
