Title of his paper is in Dating the Late Paleolithic in Egypt." Sponsored by the Nobel Foundation, the six-day Uppsala meeting is the 13th annual symposium aimed at promoting international contracts within the scientific and cultural fields. An annual grant voted by the Swedish parliament supports the meetings. Dr. Wendorf headed a major prehistoric research team which carried on multi-disciplinary salvage in the Aswan Reservoir of Egypt and the Sudan in advance of the rising waters.

He is the author of PREHISTORY OF NUBIA, a two-volume work plus atlas published by the SMU Press and the Fort Burgwin Research Center. He has also written other books and a number of scholarly papers and articles. Forests cover 59 per cent of Quebec, largest province.
