Cecil McNeill of Greenville. The vows were exchanged before the Rev. O. Neuman at a 2 service. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Bertha Price, as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs.

Wanda Fandrick, Mrs Leona Somers, Mrs. Martha Sinkus, and Mrs. Elsie Pershinske, all sisters of the bride. Best man was Donald McNeill and ushers were Richard Somers, and Walter Price. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of aqua color and the bridesmaids wore matching gowns of yellow, green, pink and blue.

They carried colonial bouquets of mixed flowers with matching ribbons. Mrs. Price chose for her wedding a medium gray dress with black accessories and Mrs. McNeill wore a black dress with black accessories. Eight New Members Join Home Makers Club Thursday Night The Club met Thursday evening, at the home of Mrs. Richard Popour, 208 Pearl street, A brief business meeting was conducted by the chairman, Mrs. John Olsen, Mrs. Rueben Peterson was elected club treasurer. Eight new members were present, Mrs.

All members of the commission with the exception of Frank Stupak were present at the city. The truck will have a hose body capable of storing 1.000 feet of inch fire hose, a 400-gallon booster tank, a 35-foot aluminum extension ladder and a 14-foot roof ladder.

Other equipment such as axes, crowbars, lanterns, are standard type. It will have a three-stage pump combining fog and volume. Delivery within 120 working days, which normally means from five to six months, is guaranteed. The new truck will replace a Boyer truck which has been in service here for the past 22 years. The city has two trucks, the other being a new unit mounted on a commercial chassis, obtained only a few years ago.

Clifford Chroge. Mrs. Methot is Mrs. mother and Mrs. and Mrs.

DeMars are her aunts. Mr. and Mrs. H. Skogquist attended the Minnesota-Michigan football game held in Minneapolis last weekend.

While there they visited with their son, Harland, who is attending MacAlester college and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen Miller. Coterie Mrs.

George Kelly will be hostess to the members of the Coterie at her home, 1427 Wisconsin avenue, on Tuesday afternoon at 3 Mrs. A. C. Peterson will give a review of the book, by Janet Whitney. Is Honored Mrs.

Ray Tordeur was the honored guest at a pleasant dinner party given Wednesday evening by Mrs. R. J. Rogers at her home at 1109 Wisconsin avenue upon the occasion of Mrs. birthday anniversary.

A Halloween motif was used in decorating the home and a large cake centered the table. Guests included Mrs. Emma Nelson, Mrs. Jerry Clark, Mrs Rogers, Mrs. Tordeur, Mrs.

Matt Gasperich Miss Patricia McCauley, Mrs. Gladys Strand, city, and Mrs. Hugh Gartland, Escanaba. Games were played with prizes going to Mrs. Clark and Miss Po- kensky.

Special awards went to Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Strand. The euest of honor received a valuable gift as a momento of the occasion. Carol Party Carol Ann Mackie, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Harold Mackie was hostess to a group of her friends on Wednesday afternoon in honor of her eleventh birthday anniversary. Games were played and prizes awarded to Mary Lee Mackie and Noreen Sebeck. Halloween decorations and favors were used and her birthday cake was iced in white with pink candles and holders. The honored guest received many nice gifts as re- membrance of the occasion.

The awards went to: Russell Betts and Vernon Pease, Bear badges; Michael Gosselin, Joseph Kee, Joseph Troppman, Russell Everett and Dale Pangborn, Wolf badges; Clark Revord, Gold Honor Point; Russell Everett, one Gold Honor Point and two Silver Honor Points. Old Age Payments Increase In Alger old-age and survivors insurance payments in Alger county increased by 33 percent in Alger county during the fiscal year which ended June 30, according to the Marquette field office of the Social Security Administration. Monthly benefits totalling $3,190 were paid to 192 residents as of that date. Young widows and children were receiving $635, and 110 retired workers were getting $2,153 and the balance was going to wives, widows and dependent parents aged over 65.

NELSON FUNERAL services will be held at 2 Monday afternoon in the First Methodist church for Rupert B. Nelson, 60, Munising township treasurer, who died Thursday in Munising hospital of pistol wounds. The Rev. Carl Oswald will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.

Mr. Nelson was born Aug. 28, 1889, in Pembrook, Ont. He came to Wetmore 51 years ago and resided there until his death. He was township supervisor from 1934 to 1944 He was elected township treasurer in 1945.

He was also a member of the Alger county road commission until resigning last year. MUNISING BRIEFS A son was born Oct. 26 in Munising to Mr. and Mrs. Ford Eastman.

Mrs. Dee Parker is visiting in Detroit with Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Moore. A son was born Oct.

27 in Munising hospital to Mr. and Mrs. M. K. Kennedy, Chestnut street.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward McGuire are the parents of a son, born Thursday in Munising hospital. Mr. and Mrs.

Stanley Pyke, Rapid River, Mich. The young couple were united in marriage Saturday, October 16, at the Wesley Methodist church in Milwaukee, by the Rev. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs.

Stanley Rushford of Rapid River, friends of the couple were their attendants. The newlyweds are residing in Milwaukee where they are both employed. Party Mary Alice Cameron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Cameron entertained at a party on Monday afternoon in honor of her eleventh birthday which occurred on Wednesday, October 27.

Games were played and movies were shown. Prizes in the games were awarded to Mary Jo Bolger, Patsy Ward and Joan Billings. A delicious luncheon was served and Halloween decorations and favors were used. A prettily decorated birthday cake with orange icing the table. Mary Alice recipient of many nice Mrs.

John Maitland answered her doorbell in Cleveland, and a woman thrust a package in her hands, then walked away. Inside, Mrs. Maitland found a purse she had left on a streetcar 10 years ago, with the contents apparently undisturbed. Checking, she finds $55 in cash, plus a rosary and other personal belongings. Mrs. Gus Deliooghe is the leader. Youth The Youth Fellowship of Memorial Methodist church will meet in the church on Sunday night at 7 o'clock for a regular meeting and for election of officers. The lunch will be served by Mrs. Douglas Mathison.

Degree of Honor Degree of Honor will meet on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Chas. Erfourth, 1315 Montana avenue. This will be a social meeting, and pot luck lunch will be served. Soloist Johns will be the soloist at the Sunday morning service at the Memorial Methodist church.

Child behavior problems, their causes and how to handle them, will be discussed. Miss Call arrives here Monday for a two-week stay. Private interviews with her may be obtained by phoning either the public school nurse or the high school office. Senior Class Gives Dance This Evening will be the theme of the Halloween dance be- ng sponsored by the Senior Class tonight at the Gladstone high school gymnasium. Dancing will be from 8:30 to 11:30 to the music of orchestra, which recently has been playing at a number of popular night spots.

Carlson On African Cruise Ivan C. Carlson, interior communications electrician, second class, USN, son of Mrs. I. Carlson of Route One, Gladstone, is serving aboard the light cruiser' USS Huntington, now making aC 16,000 mile good-will cruise oC ports in Africa and South America. The Huntington, accompanied by the destroyer, USS Douglas Hi Fox, has visited Massawa, Eritrea, Mombasa, Kenya and Durban and Capetown in the Union of South Africa.

From Capetown, she is scheduled to visit Buenos Aires. Argentina, Montevideo, Uruguay and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ship then will travel to Trinidad and is expected to return to the United States about December 8.
