LINDSAY The death of Sarah Ann Moore Lindsay (nee Mathieson) of Lutheran Sunset Home occurred at her residence on Tuesday, October 20, 1998. A Service of Remembrance will be held at McKague's Funeral Chapel on Friday. October 23, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. con ducted by Pastor Robert Russell.

Interment of Cremated Remains will take place In Thunder Bay at a later date. Sarah Is survived by her son, Andrew (Margaret) Undsay of Saskatoon; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; also many nieces and nephews throughout the world. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Margaret; her first husband, Andrew Lindsay In 1967; her daughter, Margaret in 1927; her second husband, Peter Gashinskl In 1976; and by her six siblings. Sarah was bom June 22, 1905, the eldest of seven, In Glasgow. Scotland, where she was raised.

She married her first husband, Andrew Lindsay on December 26, 1924 and came to Canada to Montreal where they lived until 1938. While vacationing in Scotland they remained there until after the war, returning to Winnipeg In 1952, then to Thunder Bay in 1967 where Andrew passed away two days later. Following Andrew's death she lived In North Western Ontario where she met and married Peter Gashinski on January 1, 1971 and lived in that area until Peter's death In 1976. Following Peter's death she moved to Saskatoon, then to Biggar where her son lived and then back to Saskatoon where she resided until her passing. Thanks to Dr.

The StarPhoenix Online http:www.saskstar.sk.ca Deaths 1000 MITCHELL Michael Frederick (Fred) Mitchell, the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mitchell's Gourmet Foods Inc. of Saskatoon (formerly Intercontinental Packers 1 997) Ltd passed away on Saturday, October 1 7 at the Stanford University Medical Center near San Francisco, CA. Fred will be dearly missed by his loving wife, LuAn; and their three young children, Freddie, Ryan and Jinji-Jo. Memorial Services will be held at the Saskatoon Christian Centre, 102 Pinehouse Drive in Lawson Heights at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22.

Fred Mitchell was born December 1, 1946 In Los Angeles, CA and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts In Economics from the University of Arizona in 1969. While attending university, Fred spent his summers working In the Saskatoon and Vancouver meat packing plants of Intercontinental Packers, where his late grandfather, Fred Mendel, taught him the meat business. Fred Mitchell worked in all areas of the plant and progressed through various management positions, becoming President and Chief Operating Officer following Fred Mendel's death in 1976. Fred served as President of the Canadian Meat Council, where he was named an "Honorary Member" In recognition of his many contributions to the Canadian meat Industry.

Fred Mitchell also served on the Board of Governors of the University of Saskatchewan, the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce and was an Honorary Member ot the Boy Scouts of Canada, National Council. He was also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization. In 1995, Fred Mitchell left Intercontinental Packers as a result of a family dispute. During his absence, the Company experienced difficult times. When he returned to the Company in late 1996, It faced lagging sales, low employee and management morale, and serious questions about Its long-term financial viability.

Under Fred Mitchell's leadership, the Company made remarkable recovery, Including the completion of a private sector recapitalization, a 14 million expansion and modernization of the Company's Saskatoon plant, significantly increased sales and the creation of 500 jobs. Fred's accomplishments were recognized recently by the International management consulting firm, Ernst Young, which named him the Entrepreneur of the Year for the Prairie Region In the Turnaround category. Among Fred Mitchell's greatest achievements was hls progressive approach to labour-management relations. Fred Mitchell's personal commitment to hls employees engendered respect, pride and loyalty. Fred's courage, determination and vision put in place an experienced management team, with a dedicated group of employees who now are focused on helping Mitchell's Gourmet Foods Inc.

SUMMACH It Is with great sadness that the family of Malcom (Mac) Summach announce his passing. He went to be with hls Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 1998 at the age of 78 years. Malcom was bom on June 17, 1920 In the Asquith district, where he grew up. He married Verna (McKee) on January 19, 1943 at Asquith and had 52 years of sharing their life together. Mac started working as a dairy farmer in 1944 and then operated Mac's Auto and Farm Supply in Asquith from 1949 to 1966.

From 1967 to 1980 Mac worked for Flexi-Coil, retiring In that year. Mac was an avid sportsman, he especially loved, curling, hunting, fishing and golfing. In later years he took great pleasure In watching hls grandchildren in all their sporting activities. Mac was actively involved In hls community, serving as the Mayor of Asquith for a number of years. He was also an active member of the Asquith Baptist Church, Involved In the musical group The Singing Grandpa's and serving as the Sunday School treasurer.

Mac enjoyed many winters In Arizona and summers with the family at Christopher Lake. He continued living In Asquith and recently married Lynn (Elder) on June 5, 1998. Left to cherish his memories are hls wife, children, grandchildren, relatives and many friends. Mac is survived by hls wife, Lynn; sons, Dennis (Doreen) and Darrel (Audrey) of Asquith; daughters. Feme (Darrell) McFadyen of Regina and Patti (Ron) Simonar of Saskatoon; eight grandchildren, Scott (Malinl), Kenton, Rebecca.

Deaths Deaths 1000 1000 FALKINGHAM The death of Margaret (Marge) Falkingham, of Saskatoon, SK, occurred on Monday, October 19, 1998. Surviving are two sisters, Laura May King of Vancouver, BC and Evelyn Long of Calgary, AB; and her nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by her husband. Roy on October 25, 1997.

Marge was born in Bladworth, SK to Benjamin and Margaret Law. She received her early education in Bladworth and Saskatoon. Marge attended Normal School in Saskatoon in 1932. Following graduation, she taught in Davidson for a year, then Hanley for five years and then in Buena Vista School in Saskatoon for 25 years before retirements. Many of her students kept in touch with her and became lifelong friends.

Marge was a member of Grace-West-mmster United Church for many years. She taught Sunday School for a few years and was an active member of the Mary Martha Unit of the W. and took part in many other church activities. St Andrew's College was dear to her heart. She supported it personally and through her participation ir St.

Andrew's College Guild. Marge was an enthusiastic member of the Saskatoon Bridge Club. She enjoyed the game and the companionship of those with whom she played. Marge had a warm and generous spirit. She had a way of making people feel welcome.

She and Roy like to entertain friends, old and new, in their home. Often, many new acquaintances became long time friends. Memorial donations to Grace-Westmin-ster United Church. 505- 10th Street East, Saskatoon. SK, S7N 0E3 would be appreciated.

McKAGUE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL is in care of the arrangements 664-3 1 3 1 WONG Mr. Shek Kui Wong passed away peacefully Into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, October 19, 1 998 at the Royal University Hospital. Shek Kul was bom In Haiping, Guongdong, China on April 24, 1 91 6. He was a hard working man, who faithfully devoted all his life to hls work and to his family. Hls career footsteps had covered China, Cuba and Hong Kong.

He Immigrated to Canada, joining hls wife, daughter and grandchildren, after hls retirement in 1989. He was predeceased by his father S.T. Wong and motner N.H. Kwan; sister, Ming Fung; and son, Yul Chuen. He was a good husband, a loving father and a perfect grandfather.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by hls wife, Chung (nee Seto); son, Yui Lun (Yim Fun Tsui) of Hong Kong; daughter. Jennie (Edward Ma) of Saskatoon; and grandchildren, Simon, Richard, Eldon and Jonas; and sister, May Ha of China, Ming Nak of the United States; and many friends In Canada, Hona Kor.g, China and Cuba. The family is most grateful for the love and support of all their friends during the time of sorrow. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pete lunt 1 954); her father, James Craig 1 962); her brother, Morris Craig (1972); her second husband, Nick Zazelenchuk (1978); her slster-ln-law, Marie Craig (1987); her brother-in-law. Eric Konecsni (1998); grandparents, Christina and John Chapman. Peart was born in Dysart, SK. She married Pete Lunt in BC.

After the death of her first husband, she returned to Saskatoon. She married Nick Zazelenchuk and worked as a seamstress at University Hospital until her retirement. She resided in Saskatoon with a summer home at Wakaw Lake where she enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family and friends. CAMPBELL We ore soiTy to announce the passing of Norman Hugh Campbell, on Tuesday, October 20, 1998 at Royal University Hospital, as the result of a car accident. Norman was born at Paynton, SK on April 30, 1909 and lived in the Carruthers district until 1949. In the fall of 1948, he started working for W.C.

Wells Construction. In the spring of T949 he went to P.A. National Park, where Wells was building a new highway through the park. In the spring of 1950 he went to Spring Coulee, AB where they were building the St. Mary River Dam.

In the spring of 1 952, he moved to Saskatoon to work, and where he had resided until his death, He enjoyed playing the violin, playing cards and doing carpenter work He leaves To mourn hls loss, his loving wife of 49 years, Isbel (nee Gall) and his son. Craig and his wife, Carol; and hls two grandchildren whom he dearly loved and enjoyed, Courtney and Christopher; hts sister, Blanche Netherton and her son, Bob and his wife, Terry and their family. Holly, Jim and Brian; and several cousins and their families. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Robert and Victoria Campbell; two brothers, Angus and Jim; his brother-in-law, Howard Netherton; and four cousins, Gordon and Reg Murphy, Mildred Nedelec and Tom Campbell, A Private Family Service will held on Friday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m. from Park Funeral Chapel, 31 1 Third Avenue North.
