In 1945 they moved to the Alvena district where Mr. Maruschak continued to farm until retiring in 1964 when he moved to the town of Alvena and had resided there since.

Mr. Maruschak had served on the Fish Creek District School Board for eighteen years and had delivered mall from Alvena to Fish Creek for five years. He was active in all community and Church affairs and had served as a Church Elder for the past ten years. Mr. and Mrs.

Maruschak had celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 23rd, 1978. The family gratefully decline flowers, Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Alvena.
