was introduced to a rising young comic by the name of Garry Moore. The two scored an instant hit! when they were teamed for a comedy bit on that show. Phil Cohan, who was instru mental in getting Jimmy and Garry together, still reigns as producer of the series. Vox Poppers to Tell Story of Noted Museum New York city's museum of Natural History is charged by its charter of 1869 "to develop the study of the natural sciences, and furnish popular instruction in these." Parks Johnson and Warren Hull will visit the greystone classic building on Central Park West to sketch the museum's stpry of the world and its developments, and will interview scientists, explor ers, artists, educators and others of the 500 workers, in the auditorium, on Vox Pop, -at 8. p.

m. Tuesday over KSCJ. Notable among the museum's fossil wonders are the skeletons of human beings and animals from 10,000 to 250,000,000 years old. Included in this group is the giant bulldog fish taken from the chalk beds of Kansas, where it lived 80,000,000 years ago when that state was a sea. One of the country's most vis ited educational institutions, the Museum of Natural History, is a children's delight.

Hundreds from New York city's schools go there daily for supplementary education. A favorite with the youngsters is Tom Dorsey, a member of the Onondaga Indians, whose tribal name is. Two Arrows and who instructs them in the customs and lore of the American Indians. The museum examines and presents Hfe of the present, as well as of the past, aiding science and industry by its research and teachings. All-Girl Orchestra Salutes Spring Today Phil Spitalny and his all-girl orchestra and choir salute spring on Hour of Charm at 3:30 today over KSCJ.

The series has presented 559 plays, featuring 372 of Holly wood's great names and 1,050 supporting players, reading from 33,540 pages of script.

Of the 372 stars, 21 have appeared more than 10 times, on the series. Lou Silvers, music director, has written and conducted 12,238 musical bridges Sandy Barnett has worked as writer on 476 productions and adapted 135 screen plays for use on the program. I personally don't like statistics. I never can make heads or tails out of them, but all that 1:33 gone before in his lsads mo just one conclusion, and that is the one I've always had, and judging from the Hooper rating of Lux Radio theater, it is one held by millions of others. The conclusion I draw is just this, Lux Radio theater is a darn fine radio program, and statistics or no, I'm going to be listening in Monday at 8 p.

m. Thursdays. Interior Decorating a Problem to Nelsons Interior decorating seems to be a great idea when Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard undertake it, but complications arise by the dozen on Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet at 5 p. m. today over KSCJ.

Ozzie's offer to "help out by purchasing antiques and other materials is the starting point of the turmoil. Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hil liard, stars of the series, drew in spiration for the script from their efforts to refurnish their own home in the face of postwar short ages. The stars' supporting cast in clude Henry Blair, Tommy Bernard, Janet Waldo and John Brown. Eddy Arnold' Honored Eddy Arnold, master-of-cere monies of Mutual's weekday unecKerDoard JamDoree. and a singer who has- popularized mountain folktunes, has received the popular song hits magazine "award of the month as America's best loved folk singer.

The record announcer was merely a stooge to the records, according to' the station regulars. But Bob Hawk changed their attitude in three months. His second day at the platter spinner chores found him introducing a jazz record with "This is red hot and low down," and he tossed off a joke to the studio engineer, who laughed heartily.

Hawk's morale shot sky high and the following day found him introducing the "Red hot and low down program," complete with gags and music news. Scores Hit The show was a smash sensation in Chicago jazz circles, and soon Bob became required listening for the city's hepsters and youth ful enthusiasts. Gradually listeners demanded that he be allowed more time on the air, and with each added quarter hour the youthful "disk jockey" added an entertainment feature such as personal interviews with "greats like Eddie Duchin, Guy Lombardo, Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington. For nine years Bob Hawk's "Red hot and low down" program headed Chicago's afternoon mu sical sessions. Finally, in' 1936 astute talent scouts for the network shows shoved a contract Under his nose and 24 hours later were auditioning him for his first quiz program.

And Chicago lost its greatest musical announcer. He works once in a week on air now at 9:30 o'clock every Monday night over KSCJ on the Bob Hawk show. Bob Hope Cast in Hollywood Star Time Bob Hope With Bob Hope on hand to move the hands on the clock, Hollywood Star Time changes night and hour for its final broadcast of the season at 9:30 p. ra. Thursday over KSCJ.

Hope will be heard as a newspaper reporter in Love Is News. Holly wood Star Time, which moves from Saturday to Thursday with this broadcast, features Herbert Marshall as master-of-ceremonies Beginning April 3, Hollywood Star Time will be replaced for the summer by The Man Called starring Herbert Marshall as Ken Thurston, private investigator of domestic and international crimes. Johnson Family Has Age Guessing Contest Jimmy Scribner, creator-writ er-actor, one-man team for adventures of The Johnson Family, weekdays, 3:15 p. m. on KTRIJ has been so busy portraying all' 22 male and female story char acters for the past 17 years that he's forgotten just how old Papa Johnson is supposed to be.
