3414 3-22-c CITY the a or LONDON (AP)--Sovict Defence Minister Georgi Zbukcer says Russia would use atom and hydrogen bombs as Its "main striking force" in a war with the United States. Moscow radio quoted him Tuesday as telling a Soviet army conference that if war broke Out the United States would not "be able, as formerly, to sit it out over the ocean and avoid destructive and deadly blows." The broadcast said the conference took place last Friday in ()scow. Zhukov said any future war "will Involve not only the theatre of operations, but will stretch Out deep into the of the belligerents "In organizing their military bases in Europe and other parts of the world and In supplying certalh capitallit countries with atomic weapons," he said, "the American imperialists obviously calculate that in case of a war in Europe or Asia they will be able, as formerly, to sit It out over the ocean and avoid destructive and deadly blows, NO SuEurta "Such calculations are only too naive, of course. "At present, there is no place in the world where the aggressor could find shelter. The Soviet air force is able to strike shattering blows at any enemy no matter where he la or where he is hiding," Zhukov said it is a mistake to suppose that the opposing forces In a future war will refrain from using atom and hydrogen bombs simply because such weapons "can mutually destroy both sides." He said "such weapons will Increasingly replace conventional armaments and they are bound to be used as the main striking force in case of a major war conflict." He added: "The Soviet armed forces must be adequately prepared both for the anti-atomic defence of our country and our troops, and the effective use of atom and hydrogen weapons." 19 Die in Crash, Rescuers Report LA PAZ, Bolivia tAP)--All 19 persons aboard a Bolivian airliner were I 1 le when the plane crashed into an Andes mountain peak, a rescue squad reported Tuesday.
