He came to Saskatoon with his wife and family in 1904 and in March of that year homesteaded in the district later known as Juniata, 30 miles west of Saskatoon. He was active in church and community life, belonging to the Grain Growers Assoc.ation and the Citizens Forum study groups. Mr. Suter was co-founder in 1914 of the first local co-operative in Saskatchewan, the Juniata Co-operative Association Ltd. He served as secretary of the Asquith Rural Telephone Company for a number of years from its organization in 1914 In earlier years.

Mr. Suter had served as a member of the London, England, Metropolitan Police Force and for three years prior to coming to Canada he was Chief Detective of Police in Durban. South Africa He retired from active farming in 1943 and came to make his home in Saskatoon 12 years ago. Mr. and Mrs.
