The Council of the City of Saskatoon intends to construct the pavement on the streets indicated In the schedule below as a local improvement, and intends to specially assess a part of the cost upon the land abutting directly on the work. 2. The estimated cost of the work is J3.650.00 of which $2,246.16 is to be paid by the City and the estimated special rates are shown in the schedule below. The special assessment is to be paid in ten annual installments. 3.

Funeral service for Donald Chester French, 33, Lorebum district resident, who died recently as a result of injuries incurred in a traffic accident, was held in Lorcburn United Church and burial made in Loreburn cemetery with Park Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Mr. French was bom in Lorebum. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in February, 1944, and served until June, 1946. He saw service in Canada, England and Europe. Mr.

French is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. French, Loreburh; two brothers, Floyd, Westbank, B.C. and Lowell, Edmonton; and two sisters, Mrs.

Rosemary Crooks, Lebret, and Mrs. Eleanor Seltenrich, Winfield B.C. Mrs. Francis Elizabeth Raw-son, 79, of Cando and former resident of Kelliher, died recently in St. Margarets hospital at Big-gar.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. A. Shaw, Landis, was held at Crane Creek and burial made in Crane Creek cemetery. Mrs. Rawson was born in London, England, and came to Canada in 1907.

In 1921, she settled at Kelliher and lived there until 1955 when she moved to Cando to live with her daughter, Mrs R. McConnell. While at Kelliher, Mrs. Rawson was a member of the Anglican Church WA for 34 years and was librarian for the Homemakers Club for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.

Georgia Meston Lestock, and Hilda, Mrs. McConnell, Cando. NOTICE BURSARIES Opportunities for Financial Assistance While Training in Physical and Occupational Therapy BURSARIES INCLUDE: (1) Living allowance for each academic year of $125 monthly or $175 if student has one or more dependents. (2) Payment of travelling expenses to the university and return to Saskatchewan, once only. (3) Payment of tuition fees.

(4) One book allowance of $25. (5) These bursaries are intended to provide undergraduate training leading to a diploma in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or in combined Physical and Occupational Therapy. Lcdene ie survived by two sons, Stanley and Kenneth, Calgary; one daughter, Frances, Mrs. Ray Streltenberg-er, Bruno; six brothers, Roman Sand, Osoyoos, B.C.; Arnold Sand, Kelowna, Joe Sand, Allis-ton, Edwin, Theodore and Nick Sand, Bruno; and five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Kidd, Calgary; Mrs. Frank Weiman, Bruno; Mrs. Louis Hebig, Osoyoos, b.c.; Mrs.

Bob Hopkins, Alliston, B.C.; and Mrs. Earl Weimick, Pincher Creek, Alta. Math Stuckel, 83, Daylesford district retired farmer, died recently in Chilliwack, B.C. hospital after a long illness. Funeral service was held there.

Mr. Stuckel emigrated to the Daylesford district from Leaf Mountain, Minn, in 1907 and farmed there until he moved to Chilliwack in 1952. While at Daylesford he at one time raised mink and operated a dance pavilion on Lake Lenore. One of his hobbies was fruit growing. Mr.

Stuckel is survived by his widow, Agnes; five sons and six daughters. Mrs. Jane Gessell, 81, of 1212 Osier Street, and former resident of Delisle, died recently at Del isle. Funeral service conducted by the Rev. K.

Bergsagel was held in Park Funeral Chappl and burial made in Woodlawn cemetery. Mrs. Gessell was bom in Middlesex County, England, and emigrated to Canada in 1886. She was married in 1900 and she and her husband farmed in North Dakota before taking out a homestead near Delisle. In 1933 they moved to Waseca and six years ago retired to live in Saskatoon Mr.

Gessell died in 1947 and Mrs Gessell made her home in Del isle until two years ago when she returned to Skatoon. She is sur vived by four sons.
