Adam will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate Elise (his angel), his parents, Veronika and Norman. Brothers: Noah, Jeffrey, William and David (Joanna) and their daughter, Tyra (little star). He is also survived by his grandfather, Charles "Hapsi" Borvari and grandmother, Katalin (Joseph) Horvath. Grandparents, Nora and Frank Nicholson, of Winnipeg. Also his auntie, Arlene (Ken) Janzen and cousins, Curtis and Laura and many, many soul friends that he dearly loved and shared his life with.

Visitation will be offered on Sunday, December 20, from p.m. and p.m. at McCALL BROS. JOHNSON AND VANCOUVER STS. A celebration Adam's life will follow on Monday, December 21, 3:00 p.m., in the FLORAL CHAPEL of McCall Bros.

Adam and his family warmly welcome everyone. The family would like to thank the Victoria Police Department, R.C.M.P., Victim Services and all related parties for their support in this incident. Special thanks to Louise Dickson of the Times Colonist for her sensitivity in this tragic time, and to all our neighbours and acquaintances for their overflow of love and affection. All are welcome to our home after the celebration. Cremation will be entrusted to Royal Oak Crematorium.

McCALL'S 385-4465 RIDLEY Bruce Chamberlain, born in Vancouver on July 31, 1937, son of John Edward Ridley and Ruth Florence Lambert, and brother to Barbara Joan, passed away at 7:35 p.m. December 14, at home, after a courageous fight against cancer. He is survived by his constant friend and companion, Barbara, his sister Joan and his much loved daughter Paula (Christopher) Lawrence. Bruce will be remembered by the many students for whom he made mathematics comprehensible and fun, giving them the confidence to go on to greater things. His colleagues will recall his tenacity when trying to uphold the terms of the teachers' contract, his support for fellow workers who were in difficulty, and his committment to achieving adequate remuneration and working conditions for all, witness paid lunch hours.

Bruce had a professional integrity that could not be shaken, at all times he was fearless and forthright, and possessed outstanding negotiating skills, the use of which often resulted in a mutually acceptable resolution. Bruce was a Canadian patriot, he supported the C.B.C., the Council of Canadians and worked hard to defeat the MAI. He deplored corporate encroachment on the Canadian way of life. He was truly committed to an indepentent Canada. Personally, Bruce was generous and compassionate, sensitive to others' difficulties and he was quick to provide discrete and timely support to those in need.

He was gregarious and loved to be in the thick of things. Friends of Bruce are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, December 23 at Cedar Shore Apartments, 77 Gorge Rd. West between 2pm and 4pm. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Hospice Society. WATERHOUSE Isabel passed away at home on December 17, 1998.

Predeceased by her husband, George and her sister, Ann; she leaves her daughters, Joan and Edie (Ron) Bonar; grandchildren: James (Sarah), Lisa (Dan), Melanie, Jill and Jeffrey: great-grandchildren: Brennan, Samuel and Jamayan; nieces, Isabel and Jean; and many good friends. Pre-paid 2 DEATHS and FUNERALS SULLIVAN Denis Wesley, passed away on Sat urday, December 19, 1998, in Victoria, B.C. Denis was bom in Innisfall, Alberta in 1921. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and will be remembered for his generosity of spirit and love of family.

Survived by his wife of 55 years, Olive; son, Barry (Shannon) of Calgary; daughter, Marnee (Graeme Lee) of Victoria; and grandchildren, Scott (Katherine), Ryan, Fraser and Caleigh, also survived by sisters, Mary Hal-crow, Alma Lawson, and Coralie (Albert) Bond; and brother, Arthur (Anne) Sullivan. Denis served with the Royal Canadian Navy 1940- 1 945, as a Lieutenant, spending much of his war years in Corvettes on the North Atlantic and the English Channel. After the war he began a career in Calgary as a successful housebuilder. Denis volunteered time in industry organizations serving as both Calgary president and National Regional vice president. Until recent years he was a keen golfer and had many friends from both his days at the Calgary Golf and Country Club and for the last 32 years at the Victoria Golf Club.

A Service will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, 3909 St. Georges Lane, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22 with Archdeacon Logan McMenamie officiating. Cremation entrusted to Royal Oak Crematorium.

McCALL'S 385-4465 WOOD Horace George (Ginger), gentleman, retired Royal Canadian Naval Officer and electrical engineer, recipient of the British Empire Medal for wartime heroism at sea, suddenly, in Delta, B.C., on December 17, 1998. Born in Lad-ner, B.C., June 29, 1910. Predeceased by his devoted wife of 49 years, Mary McGuire Wood, in 1987. Gerda who was born in Berlin 87 years ago lived part of her life in Cape Town, South Africa. She moved to Victoria 25 years ago.

She enjoyed doing volunteer work into her early 80 at the VGH and always loved a good game of bridge. She is greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Linda and by her granddaughters, Liza and Marina (fiance, Grant); also by many friends in Victoria, South Africa and Australia. We would like to thank Dr. G. Urban for all his kindness and care.

The family is remembering with a private tribute. JOHNSTONE Margaret Helen (nee Stewart) passed away peacefully on December 14, 1998. She was bom on November 26, 1924 in Pentic-ton, B.C. Predeceased by her brother, Don. Helen is survived by her best friend and husband of 49 years, Jim; loving daughter, Diane (Bryan); son, Warren; grandchildren, Valerie Peters and Kerrie Johnstone; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Brittany and Brooke; niece, Donna (Wayne) Malfait and her sons, Larry and Garry; sister-in-law, Arlene (Gordie) Hansen and their: children, Lisa, Lori (daughter Sara) and Carl; longtime beloved friends, Shirley and David Klassen.

McCALL'S 385-4465 KIELO Frances Leona (Thompson) passed away peacefully at The Priory Hosptial on December 16, 1998 with family and friends by her side. Born June 14, 1922 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, she moved to Abbotsford, B.C. with her family in 1941 where she lived for over 50 years before moving to Victoria in 1996. Predeceased by her husband, Bill in 1977, she is survived by her son, Bill Kielo and his wife, Valerie and grandchildren: Aaron and Laurel; also her daughter, Barbara Brandon (Kielo) and her husband, David and grandchildren: Nathan and Christopher.

Sister Mary Theodoric; Sister ot saint Ann, died peacefully December 17, 1998, at Mount St. Mary Hospital, Victoria, B.C., at the age of 88. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, October 13, 1910, she came from a family of seven children. Her father immigrated to Canada after the First World War, settling in Kamloops, B.C., where he was joined by his family in 1920.

In 1928, Mary joined the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Ann, making her profession July 26, 1930. Mary spent her entire life as a teacher and principal in Kuper Island, Mission, Kamloops and Lower Post Residential Schools as well as at schools in Vernon, New Westminster and Victoria. Her latter years were devoted as a volunteer at Queen Alexandra Hospital for Children before retiring at St. Ann's Residence, Victoria. Mary will be sadly missed by members of her Kengious Community, her many nieces and nephews and friends and especially by Brooke Dunbar.

A prayer service will be held at St. Ann's Residence, 2474 Arbutus Road, Victoria, B.C. on Sunday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Sebastian, OFM in the Chapel of St. Ann's Residence on Monday, December 21, at 10:00 a.m.

Following the service, interment will take place at the Sisters of St. Ann's plot in Hatley Memorial Gardens, Colwood. SANDS of VICTORIA "A Tradition of Trust" 388-5155 BELDING Joyce Mary (Jan), (nee Hill), passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, on December 18, 1998. Predeceased by first husband, Ralph Richard (Old Town, Maine); second husband, Horace Belding (Dor-val, Quebec); sister, Monica Bennett (Montreal) and brother, Brian Hill (Hudson Heights, Quebec). Jan grew up in Montreal and worked for many years as an executive secretary for the Red Rose Tea Company.

After her first marriage she moved to Orono where she worked at the University of Maine. She retired to Victoria where she will be sadly missed by her nrphew Robert (Maureen) Bennett (Victoria, B.C.) and grand-nephews, Christopher and Scott; her sister-in-law, Margaret Hill of Hudson Heights, Quebec; nephew, Ted (Debbie) Hill and grand-nephew, Jason of Ottawa, Ontario; and her many telephone friends. Jan was passionately fond of animals, Victoria and playing bridge. She supported World Vision and Hospice. Special thanks to Susan Bond (Oak Bay Lodge), Dr.
