The late Mr. Perkins was born in Owen Sound, Ontario and came west with his parents to Assiniboia 44 years ago. He received his degree in Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan in 1926. Following graduation from Regina Normal School in 1927 he taught at Cupar, Sask. until 1931.

Mr. Perkins joined the staff of Central Collegiate in Fgina in the fall of 1931 and taught until 1951 when granted leave of absence to serve with the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation. He accepted the permanent position of superannuation consultant with the Teachers' Federation in 1953 at which time he came to make his home in Saskatoon. Mr Perkins was well known in the field oi education in Saskatchewan and western Canada. He was the government representative on the Teachers Superannuation Commission.

He was a member of Grace United Church and the Saskatoon Kiwanis Club. The family request that in lieu of flowers any friends wishing to do so may contribute to a memorial fund in care of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation office at Saskatoon.
