Homemakers Hold District Meeting YORKTON, May 18th annual convention of the Yorkton district Homemakers' Club was very successfully held in the city hall here Tuesday. Representatives from 12 clubs were present as well as a large number of visitors. Following an address of welcome by Mayor C. A. Peaker, the work of the convention was carried out.

Mrs. Fowler of Leslie was elected president for the coming year succeeding Mrs. Runtz of Yorkton, Mrs. Wunder, Sheho, was elected vice-president and Mrs. L.

Bray of Foam Lake succeeded Mrs. P. Danieis, Yorkton, in the secretarial position. Mre. A.

P. Swallow, Theodore, was beard in an address on the "Home and School." Following a luncheon in the Legion Hall a social afternoon was spent during which Miss B. Oxner, Saskatoon, director of Homemakers for Saskatchewan, was heard in an informative address. S. W.

Steinson, principal of the Yorkton Collegiate, spoke cn "Whither Youth in Our Democracy," and Miss F. D. Milligan addressed the ladies on the subject Woman and Her Status As a Citizen." Community singing and a play by the Elfros Club livened activities as well as items of entertainment by the Leslie Club, Kilvingrove Club and Mrs. C. H.

Forgot to Say Your Majesty By CHARLES EDWARDS WINNIPEG, May 26. Chubby little Margaret Ray Tupper, granddaughter of Lieutenant-Governor W. J. Tupper of Manitoba, shook bobbed head disconsolately Wednesday because forgot to say "Your Majesty" when she met the Queen. But Margaret Ray was pretty happy anyway because her name is "almost the same" as Princess Margaret Rose and she is the same age-eignt.

Prime Minister Mackenzie King presented Margaret Ray, daughter of Charles W. Tupper, to Their Majesties as they were about to enter the luncheon room at Government House. "Oh, yes, I saw you when I was arriving," the Queen told her. "How old are you?" Margaret Ray stumbled over that one. "I'm seven no, eight," she said.

"Oh, ray little girl is exactly the same age," smiled the Queen. Margaret Ray rushed to daddy's arms as soon as Their Majesties entered the luncheon hall. Weddings THOMPSON-VANCE At a ceremony solemnized at two o'clock, Wednesday, May 24, in the home of the bride's parents, Margaret Mae Vance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.

H. Vance, Bethune, became the bride of John B. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.

Thompson, Tuberose. The Rev. H. E. Covenay officiated.

The bride entered on the arm of her father, to the strains of Wedding March from Lohengrin played by the groom's cousin, Miss Lila Baillie of Tuberose. The living room was tastefully decorated with lilacs. For her wedding, the bride chose a navy tailored suit with japonica accessories. Her bouquet was tea roses and lilies of the valley. After the ceremony, a buffet luncheon was served to twenty-five guests.

The table was covered with a crocheted lace cloth, centered with a three-tiered wedding cake between lighted tapers. The happy couple left by train on their wedding trip. They will reside at Tuberose where the bride was previously matron of the Red Cross Hospital. MUNRO- TURNER the presence of several relatives and friends, a pretty wedding was solemnized on Wednesday, May 24, at the United Church manse, Watrous, when Miss Irene Elizabeth Turner, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

William Turner, Lockwood, became the bride of Mr. Wilmer A. Munro, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William I.

Munro, Drake, The Rev. J. W. Robinson performed the ceremony. The bride was gowned in pale blue crepe, lace trimmed, with accessories to match.

The bridesmaid, Miss Verna May Munro, sister of the groom, wore a crepe gown with blue trimmings. After a wedding dinner at the home of the bride's parents, the happy couple left on a honeymoon trip to Saskatoon and points west. They will reside west of Drake. Clifford Leonard and Mr. Clifford Leonard of Luseland was groomsman. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harold E. Marshall of St.

John's United Churer. The young couple will spend their honeymoon in the Province, visiting Saskatoon and other points, after which they will make their home on a farm near Kerrobert. Both the bride and groom are well known throughout the district and have the best wishes of a host of friends in both Luseland and Kerrobert, McKEE-McELROY Tuesday afternoon a pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. N.
