Albert Konowski Albert passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 76 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witness (816 Queen Street, Saskatoon, SK).

Arrangements entrusted to Lynn Constantinoff of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 244-2103. 4 I Nk I Wn, YkJ Matthew Robert Joseph Epp November 30, 1992 January 2, 2009 Either God Will Take My Cancer From Me Or Me From My Cancer Either Way I Win Matthew was the amazing, wonderful son of Dwayne and Nicole Epp and Robert and Brenda Larrabee. He was big brother to Christian, 8 years old and Emmanuelle, 7 years old; Grandson to Ed Mercier and Sharon Johnson, Rodney and Marlane Fox, Richard and Darlene Epp, Marjorie Larrabee, Tom and Mellonie Larrabee: Great-Grandson to Laurence and Cynthia Mutlow, Bill and Vendora Peters and Egland Mercier. He was nephew to Michael and Courtenay Mercier, Chris and Krystle Rawson, Curtis and Laura Epp, Kevin Epp and Lita Norman, Michael and Joanne Epp.

Steven and Jennifer Rowan, Nicoie Epp. Jean Paul Larrabee and Sterling Larrabee. Matthew also had many great aunts and uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his aunt Melanie Epp, his great-auntie Loraine Mercier, great-grandfather Kenneth McKenzie, great-grandfather Noel Mercier, great-grandfather Jacob Epp and great-grandmother Katharina Epp. Matthew was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, cancer of the kidney, when he was almost two years old.

He relapsed three times. His whole life revolved around cancer treatments, cancer remissions and cancer relapses. Vet, Matthew never saw his life that way. He always said that he was happy, and that his life was good. He had many wonderful experiences during his short life.

His wishes came true thanks to the Children's Wish Foundation, he was 2004 Champion Child for the Children's Health and Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, and he was a published author of the book "Hope and the He helped raise money for cancer research by participating in "Relay for Life" in Rosetown and by his book sales which a percentage of the proceeds go to the Childhood Cancer Foundation. Matthew loved canoeing, fishing, camping and just spending time with his family. He also loved quadmg and spending time with all of his friends. He loved playing playstation with his brother Christian and cuddling with his sister Emmanuelle. Anyone who knew Matthew all know how much he enjoyed trying new foods, cooking, barbecuing, restaurants and just talking about the foods he had tried.

Matthew also loved Camp Circle of Friends, a camp at Diefenbaker Lake for children touched by cancer. He started going there at six years old and went almost every year after that. He loved the friends he met there and it was exciting when his brother and sister were able to join him in 2008. Everyone who met him was touched by his zest for life, positive attitude and desire to just be a "normal" kid. Matthew attended D'arcy elementary school and then attended Rosetown Central High School, a place where he met amazing teachers and friends all of which gave our family so much support and kindness.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for that! We would like to thank Dr. Ali, Matthew's oncologist since he was two years old, nurses Kathie and Jan and all the other amazing nurses from the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Rosetown Hospital who always made Matthew feel special. A special thank you to Shelley, Bev and the homecare nurses. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors from the pain management team at St.

Paul's Hospital and thank you so much to our community, our friends and our family who gave us so much love and support all these years also, a special thank you to Matthew's best friend, Kaitlyn McIntyre. We are going to miss him so much, and life will never be the same again. I always called him my "angel boy" when I put him into bed at night, so I would like to finish this by saying one last time, "goodnight my angel boy, I love you so much." The Funeral Service for Matthew will be held on Wednesday, January 7. 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosetown Alliance Church with Pastors Claire Garth Ewert Fisher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Children's Health and Hospital Foundation, the Children's Wish Foundation of Saskatchewan or to the Children's Cancer Foundation. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements. Chris A. Arcus The family of Christina Arcus wants to announce ner peaceful passing on December 31, 2008. She was born March 6, 1918 in Saskatoon, where she lived most of her life.

Chris was predeceased by her husband Phil in 1978, and is survived by her two children, son Wayne (Carol) living in Toronto; daughter Marilyn Pfeifer (Peter) of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Colin and Kate Arcus of Toronto, Jennifer Pfeifer of Saskatoon, and Jeremy Pfeifer (Brenda) of Salt Lake City. Beloved sister of Stan Palmer (Marie) of Calgary. Chris' many photo albums attest to fond memories of family and exploring the world with her close friends. She took pleasure in Saskatoon theatre for years, and was an avid bridge player. Chris will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank the compassionate and exemplary caregivers of Home Instead Senior Care, the nurses of St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit, and a special thank you to her care nurse, Addie Loomis. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held in the spring. 955-1600. 1307850 Anne Elizabeth Belak Anne passed away at Saskatoon, SK on January 3, 2009 at the age of 98. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by sons Myron (Darleen) of Calgary; Zenon (Christine) of Saskatoon; Bob (Paula) ot Phoenix. AZ; daughter Mary Ann McKinnon (Chris) of Vancouver as well as her surviving sisters, brothers, numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1964.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel United Church, 1141 -5th St. Saskatoon at 10:00 a.m. January 12. 2009. A reception will follow in the church hall.

Horner Albert Ralph April 26, 1913 January 2, 2009 The life of Albert Ralph Horner, longtime resident of Blaine Lake, came to a peaceful end on January 2. Albert was the oldest son of John Hugh Horner (1927) and Lila May Murphy Horner (1973).

Albert was born In Shawville, Quebec on April 26, 1913 and he and his mother returned to the homestead near Blaine Lake six weeks later. He attended school at Greystone and Balmoral, but chose to help on the farm after his father's untimely death. In 1932-33, Albert completed the Vocational Agriculture Program at the University of Saskatchewan. In 1944, he married Joy Briscoe of Saskatoon, who was teaching in Blaine Lake at the time. In 1945, Albert was elected Reeve of the Municipality, a position he held until 1956.

He was a director of the Blaine Lake Co-operative Rink Association which was formed in 1953. In 1955, he became President of the Hockey Committee and from 1954 to 1958, was Manager of the Blaine Lake Imperial Senior Hockey team. He was a member of the Wheat Pool Committee from 1932 to 1958. He was elected Wheat Pool Delegate in 1957. That same year, he was approached by the Rt Hon.

John Diefenbaker to be a candidate in the federal constituency of The Battlefords He was elected in 1958 and was the Member of Parliament for The Battlefords until 1968 when the constituency was redistributed. One of Albert's highlights as an MP was a trip he made to Poland as a representative of the Canadian government. Albert was also a member of the Blaine Lake Optimist club which was formed in 1969. Albert received the Volunteer Recognition Award from the North Central Regional Recreation Association in 1994 and the Lifetime Community Contribution Award from the Blaine Lake and District Chamber of Commerce in 2002. Besides farming, Albert built up a herd of registered Aberdeen Angus cattle and began raising his beloved black Clydesdale horses.

He exhibited both at provincial fairs and with his friend. Doug Charles, won first prize for the six -horse team at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. Albert was a long time member of the Saskatchewan Horse Breeders Association, the Aberdeen Angus Association, and the Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association. He was awarded the Saskatchewan Livestock Association Scroll of Honor in 1985. One of Albert's horses became part of the heavy horse hitch for Budweisers and another horse was part ot the hitch for Potters Brewery.

Albert's last registered foul, Silver's Lady Oakwood's Joy, was born in 2008. In his later years, Albert became a judge of heavy horses at many exhibitions. He attended the Prince Albert Fair for 53 consecutive years. Albert was predeceased by his wife Joy (2003), his only son, John (1992) his brother Lloyd, sister in law, Helene and nephew Wayne. He is lovingly remembered by his four daughters and their husbands; Maureen and Tom Barrie of Blaine Lake, SK; Leah and Dave Sheskin of Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON; Rosemary and Dan O'Handley of Kenaston SK: Colleen and George Patterson of Moose Jaw, SK; and his daughter-in-law, Alice Horner of Saskatoon.

He is also remembered by his ten grandchildren, Colleen O'Handley and Andrew Kirk of Airdrie, AB; Ryan and Diane O'Handley of Perth, Australia; Patrick O'Handley of Saskatoon; Colleen (Horner) and Trevor Isley of Saskatoon; Erin (Barrie) and Darren Diehl of Biggar, SK; Megan Patterson of Toronto ON; Jason and Kyla Horner of Saskatoon; Tom and Amber Barrie of Aylsham, SK: Hugh (Janne) Patterson of Regina, SK; and Michelle (Brennon) Horner of Saskatoon. Albert is survived by eleven great grandchildren, Shannon Kirk, Jenna Isley, Rachel Diehl, Abby Kirk, Grayson Isley, William Diehl, Morris O'Handley, Jordan Isley, Daniel O'Handley, Ainsley Kirk and Camden Horner. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Albert had a wonderful time greeting his friends at his 95th Birthday Celebration in 2008. He lived a rich, full life and was a fan of the Vancouver Canucks, the Toronto Blue Jays and was a staunch supporter of the Canadian Wheat Board until the very end.

Albert had a great many friends and was respected and well loved by those who crossed his path. The family appreciates the many wonderful friends who enriched Dad's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Doctors Without Borders" (MSF Canada, 402-720 Spadma Avenue, Toronto, ON. M5S 2T9), one of Albert's many charities. The Service to celebrate Albert's life will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.
