Vossberg, of this city, holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, and Mr. Kellerman is a graduate in pharmacy. Miss Vossberg received her early education in Saskatoon and was a member of the first graduating class from the convent and their gold medalist. PROVINCIAL NOTES In the British Iales there are now 614,688 Girl Guides, an Increase of 28,070 during the year. In the overseas dominions and colonies the number now stands at 182,474 members, an Increase of 15,353. Guides in foreign countries number over 372,000 when the last census was taken and the world total therefore is 1,142,183 an Increase of 47,770. PRESENTATION OF PORTRAIT At the conclusion of the annual meeting of the Imperial Council held In London last April, a portrait of the Chief Guide, Lady Baden-Poweil, on behalf of the commissioners from all parts of the British Empire, was presented to Lord Baden-Poweil. It was given in remembrance of the comlng-of-nge of the Girl Guides to the founder of the movement.

A "Bathing Beauty Luncheon was served in Provincial Park following swimming races and beach games. Other enjoyable occasions included boat rides, JPaptlea and marshmallow roasts.

William Thompson of fiaskatoon contributed much to the fun of each event with community singing and by his own comic songs. Another novel feature of the weeks activities was the "Breakfast Berenede In honor of Miss J. About 90 guests attended the reception which followed at the town home of Mr. and Mrs.

R. A. Fawcett, grand parents of the bride, where a buffet luncheon was served. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs.

McGowan assisted by Mrs. F. J. C. Dingwall and Mrs.

Ray Ego. Mrs. A. T. Colder and Mrs.

R. A. Fawcett poured tea and, assisting In serving were Miss Marguerite Dingwall, Miss Beulah Major, Miss Marjorie Mather, Miss Ruth Dingwall, Miss Irene Dolg, Miss Ethel Young and Miss Jean Dingwall. After the congratulatory telegrams were read the bride and groom left by motor for Banff, and points west, the bride traveling in a dress of shaded blue medallon crepe with matching accessories. and Mrs. H. J. Vossberg, 807 Seventh Avenue, became the bride of Mr. John Francis Kellerman, son of Mr.

Francis Kellerman and the late Mrs. Kellerman, of Dana, Sask. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. Markle in the presence of fifty relatives and friends.

Given In marriage by her father, the bride was charming in a gown of white chiffon trimmed with tiny frills of silk net Her veil was prettily shirred In cap style and gaught at the sides with lilies of the valley. She carried a shower bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley and fern. Her sister, Miss Renee Vossberg, as maid of honor, was gowned in peach organdie. The dress was distinguished by its smart cape formed from bias folds of the material. With this she wore a large white hat and lace mitts and carried a bouquet of pink carnations, snapdragons and babies' breath.

The bridegroom was attended by Dr. Hargarten, of Bruno. During the service Miss Gladys Markle played softly on the organ and at the offertory sang Gounods Ave Verum. Mr. Ed Vossberg, the bride's brother as usher.

Messrs. Amend and Jack Goetz served at the altar which was bright with garden flowers, ferns and tall cathedral candles. After the ceremony the bridal party and relatives returned to the home of the brides parents where the wedding breakfast was served. The table was lovely with a drawn work cloth, made by the bride's mother and used at her own wed ding 26 years ago. In the centre of the table was the wedding cake surrounded by bud vases of pink sweet peas and pink candlea In silver holders.

The toast to the bride was proposed by Rev. Dr. Markle and responded to by the bridegroom. During breakfast many telegrams of congratulation were received. The reception In the afternoon was attended by many friends of the young couple.

Mrs. J. Prlel and Mrs. A. Fhillon performed the tea honors assisted by the Misses Marion Wylie, Bernice Silverwood, Germaine Goetz and Ann Loran.

Miss Yvette Des Hosiers presided In the gift room. Mr. and Mrs. Kellerman left on a honeymoon trip to Jasper. The brides golng-away costume was of apple green flat crepe with three-quarter length coat of tbs same material.

White hat, shoes and gloves completed the smart outfit. Out-of-town guests at the wedding included: Mrs. M. Kellerman, grandmother of the bridegroom; Mrs. Hargarten and daughter, Mlsa Anne, of Bruno; Mrs.

W. J. O'Callaghan, of Wainwright, Alberta, and Miss Carrie Vossberg, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, the bride's aunts; Mr. and Mrs.

Meinz, and son, Richard, of Waite Park, Minnesota; and Mr. J. C. Smith, of Davidson, the brides uncle. PICKETTS McGOWAN Masses of pink and white peonies and geraniums with babies' breath and fern formed a lovely back ground in Asquith United Church on Thursday afternon, July 13, for a pretty mid-summer wedding when Thelma Grace, only daughter of Mri and Mrs.

A. E. McGowan of Asquith, became the bride of F. Harold Picketts, eldest son of Mr F. A.

Picketts and the late Mrs. Picketts of Asquith. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. J.

Sangwine of Asquith and Kinley. Promptly at three-thirty the bride entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains the Wedding March from Lohengrin. She was lovely In a gown of white silk Jace and net ana wore a tulle veil with a wreath of valley lilies. Sht carried a shower bouquet of eunset roses, lilles-of-the-valley and west peas, and was attended by her cousin, Mias Loy Fawostt who was charming in an ankle length gown of pastel pink, striped silk organdie with a wide picture hat. Her bouquet was of sweet peas and snapdragons.

Mr. Alvin Hamilton of Rosetown, supported the bridegroom. Ths bridal mualo was played by Miss Dorothy Peat who appeared In a costume of whits crepe with a pale green silk coatee and hat to match. Following the ceremony the choir ssng Oh Perfect Love" and during tne signing of the register, Mr. Albert Cooke sang Oh Promise Me.
