A member of the Separate School Board here for 14 years and former chairman of the board, R. J. Nesseibeck was honored recently by presentations from the board members and St. Vitals Home and School Association. The occasion marked the installation of the new waterworks system in the school, a project for which Mr.

Nesseibeck was mainly responsible. It was largely due to his persistent efforts that the waterworks were finally installed in the old school and on his retirement from the board he was named to head the committee in charge of raising funds. George Leibel made the presentation from the school board at the large gathering in the school auditorium. The presentation from the Home and School Association was made by the president, Lawrence Smart, who said Mr. Nessel-heck had been the motivating force behind organization of the Home and School group a year ago.

W. D. Brennan, superintendent, paid tribute to Mr. Nesseibeck and the school board on behalf of the Department of Education and said the department had been glad to assist In the project. It was gratifying to see the progress made by St.

Vitals in the last two years, Mr. Brennan, said. Brief reports by the school board chairman, George Leibel and the secretary-treasurer, J. F. Kuffner, showed that four classrooms and a hall had been painted during the last year and a stoker installed.

Teachers salaries had also been increased. Mr. Leibel said the schools outlook at present was brighter than it had been for years and he ex' pressed the boards appreciation to Mr. Brennan for the advice and guidance he had given them in the last year.
