A. G. Bailey, esident of Bailey Selburn Oil and Gas Co.

told the Securities Analysts Association of Toronto Wednesday the proposed price of 144 cents per thousand cubic feet at the Saskatchewan boundary is not very ao ceptable to the industry. Since the 144 cents includes the cost of a grid pipeline system to collect the gas. the wellhead re turn would be considerably less. For gas from shallow wells close to the trunk line in eastern Alberta, a price of seven to eight cents would see the producer through, Mr. Bailey said.

But the provinces laige reserves are at Pincher Creek and other fields in the western part of the province. There, wet gas must undergo costly treatment to remove all commercial oy-products before shipment, WESTERN OIL James Richardson and Sons Friday November 6, 1954 It a.m. (Quoted in cents) Ajax finb Aihermont 72b Alberta Par. 25b Airier. Declines at Chicago prompted the drop here, especially in rye and flax. Trade reports indicated 180,000 bushels ol Canadian barley had been sold abroad, with the United Kingdom mentioned as a possible destination. Some of this business was re-fleeted in the pit, with domestic shippers and importers on the buying side of barley.

Oats came under fair buying by shippers and American interests. International houses and exporters made purchases in flax. Hedging sales were liberal. Rye trade was mostly local. Overnight export loadings of Canadian wheat were small, with the United Kindgom taking 35,000 bushels and Belgium 70,000.
