It is with sadness the family of Mike Gresiuk, resident of North Battleford and formerly of Hafford, announce his passing Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Battlefords Union Hospital. Prayer Service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 7:30 p.m, followed by Divine Funeral Liturgy on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:30 am, both Services from All Saints Ukrainian Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to The Lung Association.

Interment will take place at The City Cemetery. North Battleford, SK. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Battlefords Funeral Service. 446-4200 LOUIS DAVID GAUTHIER April 1 6th, 1 91 7 October 1 6th, 2008 Louis passed away on October 16, 2008 at the age of 91 years. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Grace, who passed away on April 26, 2008.

Louis is survived by his two sons, Eugene (Nora) and David (Rosie), as well as three grandchildren, Paul, Nicole, Adam and one great-grandson, Sean. He leaves behind two sisters, Leona and Annette, and one brother, Fred. Louis also leaves behind a special niece, Lavina (Glen) Slater. He was predeceased by his brother, Ferdinand, and sister, Francis. Louis' career spanned from being a farm hand and a farmer in both the Bjorkdate and Gravelbourg, Sk communities to later working for the Rural Municipality of Gravelbourg.

After moving to Esterhazy in 1963, Louis worked tor Schentag Construction, and finally ended his career working for the town of Esterhazy from 1966 to 1985 when he retired. Louis enjoyed his retirement years with family and treasured friends. His favorite pastimes included fishing, bowling and watching his favourite sports on TV. He also enjoyed participating In the Esterhazy Golden Jets various activities. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m.

at Louise Street Community Church (3042 Louise Street, Saskatoon). Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, A special thank you to the staff on 6300 at Saskatoon City Hospital for their devotion and care. Arrangements In care of G.R. WEHAGE Walter Wehage passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Humboldt District Hospital with his family by his side.

He was 84 years of age. Walter was born on December 17, 1923 on a farm near Fulda, SK. At the age of 5 years his father purchased land north of Pilger which became their permanent home. Walter attended Colorado School in Pilger until completing the Eighth grade. After completing school he worked along side of nis father on the farm until joining the Canadian Army in 1942.

In April 1942, basic training started In Portage La Prairie, MB. From there more advanced training was done at Camp Shilo, MB. In November 1942 more advanced training was done at Saskatoon, SK. June 1943, Walter was sent to England to join the Royal Winnipeg Rifles; Infantiy Unit. As a battalion they moved around England to many different locations.

In June 1944, D-Day came and they were among the first to Invade Normandy. In July 1944, Walter was wounded while capturing the Carpiquet Air Field outside the city of Caen, France. He was sent back to England to recuperate until September 1944. In September 1944, Walter was sent back to the front lines and In February 1945 their Battalion advanced into Holland. This was the final great assault on the Siegfred Line through the Hochwald in Germany.

In this assault Walter received shrapnel from an exploding mortar shell which severely damaged his left shoulder. After 4 months In the hospital recuperating and receiving therapy the war had ended. In January 1946, Walter returned to Saskatchewan and received an honorable discharge from the Army. Walter was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Humboldt Branch, July 22, 1946 a marriage to his sweetheart Marie Poppel from the Pilger area was held. Walter was able to purchase his own farm through the VLA In the Verndale area northwest of Lake Lenore, SK, where Walter and Marie farmed and opened land until 1968.

In 1968, they bought and operated a small hotel In Pilger, SK. In 1981 they seml-retired to Middle Lake, SK, where they managed the Luclen Lake Regional Park for a number of years. Walter will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, MARIE (nee Poppel) Wehage of Middle Lake; eight children: George (Estelle) of Saskatoon, Donald (Angie) of Saskatoon, Joseph (Faye Kavanaugh) of Macrorie, Robert (Cathy) of Saskatoon, Kevin (Susan) of Middle Lake, Geraldine (Domenico) Volponi of Calgary, Cynthia (Randy) Meyers of Saskatoon, David (Charlene) of Edmonton; 1 8 grandchildren, and 1 3 great-grandchildren. The Prayer Service for Walter will be held at Canadian Martyrs R.C. Church, Middle Lake, SK.

on Monday, October 20, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. Music ministry will be provided by Darlene Cash. The Funeral Mass will be offered at Canadian Martyrs R.C. Church, Middle Lake, SK, on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at 10:30 a.m concelebrated by Fr. Bernard Stauber, OSB, Fr.

Joseph Ackerman OSB and Fr. Daniel Muyres OSB. Others taking part will be: Sheri Lux, cross bearer; Robert Wehage, intentions; Tanya Kettner, Jacob Wehage, Cynthia Meyers and Kalree Wehage, scripture readers; Geraldine Volponi and Cynthia Meyers, gift bearers. Honorary pallbearer, son Clifford Wehage (1955-1994). Active pallbearers are: George, Don, Joe, Robert, Kevin, and David Wehage.

Interment will follow at Canadian Martyrs R.C. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to either the Humboldt District Hospital or Canada's Wounded Warriors. Sylvester Anton Schultz of Annaheim, SK. occurred at the Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, on Friday, October 17, 2008. He was 81 years of age. Sylvester will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his five brothers and three sisters: Norbert Schultz and Roderick Schultz both of Annaheim, SK; Daniel (Marie) Schultz of Hudson Bay, SK; Donald (Mildred) Schultz and Dale (Linda) Schultz both of Humboldt, SK; Bernice (Ted) Vossler of Surrey, B.C; Dorothy Ann (Gerald) Olson of Plenty, SK, and Annabelle (Lloyd) Frank of Annaheim, SK; sister-in-law, Caroline (Camille) Rohel of Humboldt, SK and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Mass for Sylvester will be offered at St, Ann's R.C.

Church, Annaheim, SK, on Tuesday, Oct 21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by Rev. Fr, Richard Meidl. Interment will follow at St. Ann's R.C. Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to either St. Ann's Cemetery Fund or the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation. SCHULER-LEFEBVRE, Humboldt. SK. (306-682-4114) Jim, of Vanscoy, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, October 16th, 2008.

He is dearly loved and remembered by his sons, Gene (Dianne) Chovln of Christopher Lake, Nelson Chovln of Vanscoy, and Chuck (Leslie) Chovln of Vanscoy; seven grandchildren, Kristine (Mike) Skeels, Lisa Chovln, Regan Chovln, Christopher Chovin, Jessica Chovln, Sean Chovin, Brad Chovin; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Shyla; sisters, Wilda McMillan of Asquith, Betty (Alj Ambedian of Calgary; brothers, John (Rose) Chovin of Calgary, Doug (Merle) Chovln of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife. Marguerite (1999); parents, James Wilson Sr. and Annie Chovin; brother-in-law, Wallace McMillan. Jim was born September 1 2th, 1 924 in Asquith.

He attended Shelby School near Vanscoy. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Winnipeg Rifles and landed In Normandy on D-day. Following the war he married Marguerite Junop on April 27th, 1946. They farmed In the Vanscoy area until his retirement to Vanscoy. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, making jewellery and hunting knives which displayed his artistic talents.

He had a special love and attachment to his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a popular Grandpa In the community to many of the youth. Jim was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed his friendships over the years. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday. October 2 1 st at 1 :00 p.m.

at Mayfair United Church (902 -33rd Street West). Following the reception the committal will take place at the Wild Rose Cemetery near Vanscoy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff from RUH 6000, the Home Care Nurses, and friends for their love and attention to Dad.
