Signs of spring. The council of the summer resort village of Metinota, on the south shore of Jackfish Lake met in Secretary J. Policha's office here this week to formulate plans for what they hope, providing the weatherman co-operates will be the best yet, work on the village mile, which was started last, year will be continued year. ity for keeping the village mile Responsibilroad in good repair is that of the summer resort village. It will be gravelled this year.

The belief expressed at the of meeting the that with the co-operation village and the Rural Municipality of Meota, an two-mile stretch of all weather road could be achieved linking the three summer resorts on the north side of Jackfish Lake with No. 26 highway. In the past, too little attention 1 to promoting the area for summer resorts had been paid, it was felt, particularly in the matter of providing good roads. H. Wilford was sworn in as a new member of the Metinota council.

Other members are Dr. J. T. Cairns, and A. N.

Wetton who was named overseer to succeed Ralph Salzgeber who retired from council after many years' service. SUFFERED CONCUSSION ARBORFIELD.
