Jimmy Wynn Is rer Of Week Play SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -Jimmy Wynn of the Houston Astros Monday was named the first Player of the Week for the National Leagues i973 season. League president Charles S. Feeney said the honor was for Wynn's six home runs and the 10 runs driven in during the 11 games while in the lead-off position from opening day on April 6 through last Sunday. Eight of the left fielder's hits were for extra bases, and in addition to the six homers he collected a triple and a Wynns 15 hits in 48 at bats give him an average of .313. the Albuquerque Dukes 14-2 and the Tucson Toros thumped the Phoenix Giants 13-6.

Winston Llenas and Ron Clark contributed homers to Salt Lake Citys 17-hit attack against four Albuquerque hitters. Llenas had two other blows and Clark one. In the Pacific Coast League. Kusick hit three home runs in the Twins 16-3 triumph over the Hawaii Islanders. One was a solo but one produced two runs and the other was a grand slam. And Kusick isn't the only home run hitter for the Twins. Jim Nettles and Tom Kelley also hit round trips, both in the ninth.

It was the second homer for this new season both Nettles and Kelley and the Twins who lead the PCL's Western Division by a game.
