BECHTELSVILLE RD, died early yesterday morning in Allentown General hospital.

The 67-year-old man had been in the hospital since April 8, He had farmed in Bechtelsville RD for the past 23 years, at his home near Forge Dale. Mr. Prokop was born in Galicia, then part of and came to the United States in 1913. He lived in Philadelphia before he moved to Berks county. His only survivors are his wife, Mary (Motkowski) Prokop, at home, and two brothers in Austria.

Services will be held from a funeral home at 124 West Philadelphia avenue, at Monday morning. A high mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Bally, at 9:30 a. m. by the -Rev. Peter Hermes, assistants rector.

The Rev. George B. Pifer. pastor of Christ Lutheran church, Niantic, officiated. Burial was made in the Niantic cemetery.

Bearers were seven grandsons: LeRoy, Charles, Alvin, Ernest, and Robert Gaugler, Richard Phipps and LeRoy Snyder. Camp 40, Patriotic Order of Amcr- icans, Bechtelsville. She had been a housewife all her hfe. High School Notes The Easter program under the direction of Mi.ss Ida M. Reinert will be presented at 1:15 p. m. today in the high school auditorium. The assembly will include a number by the orchestra and a piano solo by Russell Renninger.

The main part of the program will be 30 minutes from by Arthur John.son and May Van based on the opera and will be presented by a selected group from Grades 10, 11, and 12. A baseball game with Amity will be played on the Boyertown field today. lions Plan Programs By Student Band and Emergency Squad Activities of the Lions club of Boyertown for the current month include a program by the Phillipsburg emergency squad, of Phillipsburg, N. tonight and a band concert in the high school auditorium on Thursday, April 21, at 8 p. by the American Legion band of Oley.

Thursday club meeting in Boyer Towne inn will bring to town Charles Schappell, captain of the Phillipsburg Emergency squad, and Elmer Snyder, Sheridan and Alfred Bates, assistants. They will present demonstrations of rescue work and will trace the more-than- ten year history of the organization, which is supported by the city. W. Name Submitted Reports in Moscow yesterday said that the name of Vice Alan G. Kirk (above) has been submitted to the Russians as S. ambassador to the Soviet I'nion. Rirk is now ambassador to Belgium. Bally Firemen Hear Chief's Report The Good Will Fire company.

Bally, held a meeting Tuesday evening. Russell Witman, president, presided at the meeting. Harold Mutter, fire chief, reported two in March. One was a brush fire near schoolhouse. The other wa.s an overheated stove in the Clayton schoolhouse.

No damage was done at either fire. Three new members were elected and four applications were received for membership. The Lions club of Bally will have an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 17, at 2 p. m. at the public schoolhouse, at which time the fire siren will sound to start the egg hunt.

Five members of the fire company will 'oe sent to the school of Berks county. Two delegates of the company will attend the convention in Wilkes-Barre on April 30 and May 1. They are Harold Mutter and Carl Jacobs. VFW Post Auxiliary Elects Slate of Officers At a meeting of the auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Tuesday night, Dorothy Geist, district president, presided at the election of officers. She was assisted by Mrs.

Arline president of Post 6668, Wernersville. Guests were Mrs. Marie Guell, Post 5756, Sewickley. and Miss Tura Fauver, Post 6668, Wernersville. President Kathryn Beck presented each officer with a gift.

The members in turn presented Mrs. Beck with a gift. The organization donated $15 to research fund. next meeting will be held April 26. Mrs.
