Designed to help teach English to French-speaking Canadians, these films are now being used In the classroom in 20-minute segments. Teaching materials accompany the films.

She has also-been seen in the films Mickey One, co-starring with Warren Beatty and Jean- Tlia Heathwave Lasted Four Days, the National Film Board's feature-length mystery movie starring Gordon Pinsent, will make its Canadian television debut on the CBC-TV network, Sunday, August 10 at 9 p.m. The film was widely praised when seen on ABC-TV in the United States in April and beat in the ratings the Johnny Carson show and the CBS Movie. Co-staring in the film, shot entirely in Montreal, are Alexandra Stewart and Lawrence Dane. Other well-known Canadian performers In the cast include, Jon Gran-ik, Eon Hartmann, Earl tnd Domini Blythe. In The Heaitwave Lasted Four Days, Pinsent portrays a high-living TV news cameraman-playboy who gets mixed-up with a dangerous dope peddler.

Lawrence Dane plays the irole of the big-time heroin, dealer who is on the run from the police and Ms underworld enemies, and is helped by Alexandra Stewart, who plays a refined, elegant clothes de-singer and boutique owner. The aristocratic Wimsey, again portrayed by Ian Car-michael, joins an advertising agency to Investigate the death of copy writer Victor Dean, who died under suspi-vious circumstances.

To help his investigation, Wimsey hides his true identity, and masquerades as an aging copywriter named Death (pronounced Deefh) Eredon his two middle names. In fact, costumes and parties play major roles in Wimsey's search for truth. In between costume changes, the unflappable lord discovers a flair for writing ad copy, and many clues that point to a drug ring involving England's "bright young things." As always, Wimsey displaj'i a hardened self, capable of solving the case in the most unusual though aristocratic (manner.
