1, Hull and two sisters, Mrs. Iva Tanner of Dayton and Mrs. Gertrude Puce of Daisetta. There are also four great grandchildren. Papa John is a member of Mt.

Calvary Baptist Church at Marysee. Prior to retirement he was employed at the Liberty County Barn. He enjoys fox hunting, fishing, and taking care of his small farm. He is also proud of all the connected with his date. Petroleum Assn.

Morris, president of Duval Corporation, a owned subsidiary of Pennzoil United, headquartered here, announced today that the board of directors of Duval had authorized development of an elemental sulphur deposit in the eastern part of Culberson County, Texas. The planned facilities to mine the deposit will have a design production capacity of 2.5 million long tons of sulphur per year.

Design of the facilities is currently in progress. Completion of construction is planned for late 1969. Preliminary estimate of the total cost of the project Is $65 million. Financing plans for the project are currently under study. (a) The Legislature shall have the authority to levy taxes to provide a State Retirement, Disability and Death Compensation Fund for the officers and employees of the state, and may make such I reasonable inclusions, exclu- sions, or classifications of officers and employees of this state as it deems advisable. The Legislature may also include officers and employees of judicial districts of the state who are or have been compensated in whole or in pail directly or indirectly by the state, and may make such other reasonable inclusions, ex- or classification of officers and employees of judicial districts of this state as it deems advisable. Persons participating in a retirement system created pursuant to Section 1-a of Article of this Constitution shall not be eligible to participate in the Fund authorized in this subsection; and persons participating in a retirement system created pursuant to Section 48-a of Article III of this Constitution shall not be eligible to participate in the Fund authorized in this subsection except as permitted by Section 63 of Article XVI of this Constitution. Provided, however, any officer or employee of a county as provided for in Article XVI, Section 62, Subsection (b) this Constitution, shall not be eligible to participate in the Fund authorized in this subsection, except as otherwise provided herein. The amount contributed by the state to such Fund shall equal the amount paid for the same purpose from the income of each such person, and shall not exceed at any time six per tum of the compensation paid to each such person by the state.
