I Area Deaths Mrs. Augusta Weeks, 72, Found Dead In Her Home NEW LONDON-Mrs. Augusta Weeks, home on Rt. 511 near Nova, was found morning by a neighbor. The neighbor said he called the house and could get no answer.

He went to window and found Mrs. Weeks lying on the 'New Look' Pending For Water Bills HURON The board of public affairs has authorized "new look" for future water bills to be sent to Huron water and sewer users. The new bills will be changed to indicate that checks should be made payable to the "'Huron Water Department." This will become effective the next quarter, which will begin April 1. So that the residents may casNy become aware of the new bills, red "Willing Water" cartoon will be placed on the front of the post card bearing the bill. The carton was suggested as a means of helping, people recognize the water so it will, not become lost or misplaced.

The board also issued a remindthat all water and sewer bills or not paid by today will be subject to a 10 per cent penalty. If the bills are not paid by Jan. 25, the water will be turned off by Feb. 2. Bills may be paid at the water department or at Firelands Community Bank.

An adjustment to a sewer was made to a Rye Beach propowner residing in Marion. erty Bills totaling $12,063.36 from the water fund and $146.17 'from the sewer fund were authorized to be paid by the board. Henrietta Church Elects During Annual Meeting HENRIETTA The annual congregational meeting of Henrietta Church of Christ was held Sunday. Ralph Berg was elected elder for two years and Harold Bradford and Charles Berg elected deacons. They will be installed Feb.

5. All church reports were approved. The church now has a membership of 109 and there are 10 members in the pastor's confirmation class. The teaching preaching, reaching mission has been postponed until April 28-May 6 in order to include the Congregational Churches of Lorain County. The Rev.

Dewees Singley of Henrietta is co-chairman for this county. Recommendations approved were: Henrietta United Church of Christ shall be the official name, and the official address is Wakeman, RD 1. The church shall incorporate with the state of Ohio. The consistory is to choose the liability insurance company for the church. The budget for year was approved with exception of a raise for the organist.

Wakeman To 'Sell' Itself WAKEMAN The Wakeman Planning Commission, during its meeting last night i in Village Council rooms, approved publication of a three color, six sided illustrated brochure to "sell the community to new industry." A draft of the new folders was prepared by Commissioner Paul Burns. The brochure will have at least four photographs and two, colors maps with text explaining assets of the community. Gersak Elected Before taking action on. the brochure, commission elected Fritz Gersak as chairman to succeed E.

P. French, killed in a traffic accident Dec. 18. Charles Clark and Arthur Witzleben were appointed as a committee to draft a set of by-laws preparatory to filing for corporation papers. Dr.

William R. Graham was appointed by Mayor John Burke to fill the vacancy created by French's death. Other members of the seven-man commission are L. D. Gerber and Maynard Clark, secretary.

Lyme Church Has Election During Annual Meeting BELLEVUE The annual January business meeting of the Lyme Congregational Church in Bellevue was held recently at the church. A dinner preceded the business meeting, with Mr. and Mrs. John Grubh as chairmen. Assisting were Mr.

and Mrs. Harold Neike, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Close, Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Seymour, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davenport, Mr.

and Mrs. Howard Schlegel, Mr. and Gerald Dreisbach and Russell Gfell. During the meeting, election of officers was held with Fred Franklin re-elected as president. Also re-elected were Harold Nottke as vice-president and Russell Gfell, treasurer.

Mrs. Edward Close was Allen elected Hammer as secretary new trustee. Other trustees are Edward Close and Ford Avery. The new deacon elected was Walter Nims. Others are John Bandy, Harold Nottke and Allen Hamer.

As the group recited the Girl Scout rules, their leader, Mrs.

Nils Larson presented each girl a pin. The following girls became members: Virginia Harvey, Bertha Dalton, Charlotte Parsons, Sue Robinson, Beth Todd, Carolyn Sehlmyer, Barbara Morris, Christine Larson, Dorothy Holzhauser, Dorothy Horn, Nancy Ayers, Janet Dillon, Peggy Watson. These girls are from the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. An interesting program was presented for the parents and members of the Ladies Society of The Congregational Church. The Society is sponsoring this troop.

Several articles which have been made by the Scouts were on display. The troop voted to hold all meetings on Friday. remodeling done our popular Police Probe Bar Break-In In Huron HURON Police are investigating a break-in at Edna's Bar on McKinley Street which apparently took place sometime between 1:30 a.m. and noon Saturday. Lambert Moore, operator, discovered the burglary when he opened for business at noon. Entrance was gained by breaking and crawling through a window in the ladies' restroom. Reported missing by Moore were $2 in cash, cigars valued at $6 and cigarettes valued at $70.

Church Women At Huron To Meet Thursday Night Are Those Women Doing?" is the title of a skit which will be presented at the first meeting of the new year for the Presbyterian Womens' Association Thursday at 745 p.m. Invited as special guests are members of the church session. Members of the program department are presenting the skit under the direction of Mrs. Richard Linhart. Participating in the cast Mr.

The program is planned to be of interest to all, especially the newer members of the association, and a competition is being held among the eight circles, for attendance. The meeting will be held in the church lounge. No advance period of music is planned, and music will be incorporated in the program proper. Members of last year's January circle will be hostesses for the evening.

Vermilion Council Has Speedy Meet lam Smith. The council approved Clerk Charles Horten's estimated budget 1961 of $806,932.43. A motion to join the Lorain County Regional Planning Commission, if eligible for membership, was adopted unanimously. The Business and Industrial Association has voted to pay half the membership fee for the first year. in Charles his court Baumhart last stated year numbered 740 and $17,301.08 was collected in fines and costs.

The ordinance designating the Erie County Bank as depository for village funds was repealed and a new ordiance designating both Erie County and Lorain National. Banks as depositiories was authorized. Contract Extended The safety committee reported that Sharpnack Chevrolet Co. had agreed to extend the rental contract for cruiser Number an additional month at $219. Ohio Edison recommended stallation of three 500-lumen lights on Inland Drive.

The in stallation was approved on recommendation of the light committee. Street Foreman Burt Hollosy was authorized to erect sign at the entrance of Hartford Street warning traffic that it is not through street. He was also instructed to post roads and streets in the Brownhelm annexation area with load-limit signs, since it was noted that a considerable amount of truck and transport traffic uses them. They are not designed for heavy traffic and considerable damage could be done during the next few months with alternate freezing and thawing, Council noted. Former Mayor Fred Fisch requested council take action on dogs running loose in the village.

Fischer said there are a considerable number of dogs getting into garbage cans and creating a nuisance. No final action was taken, although Councilman Robert Liljegren pointed out that under the VERMILION--Hampered by the absence of two key members, the Vermilion Council limited its meeting last night to the speedy dispatch of routine bustness. Absent were Council President Don Hoffman, who is confined to a hospital, and Village Solicitor Wile ordinance in the new village code, dogs running loose with licenses can be picked up and impounded and owners penalized. Police Commended Council recelved a letter mending the police dept. for their part in recovering the goods len from M.

M. Sparkle Market last week. The ordinance authorizing the sale of $75,000 in notes for water works improvements was adopted. Figures on the estimated cost for a water line on E. River Road were presented.

The figures were accepted and the engineering report forwarded to the soliciter for the necessary ordinance. Estimated cost for an eight inch line is $43,450. Bids from Ohio Engineering for hot and cold patch were accepted. A bid from Hull Builders' Supply for crushed stone was also accepted. The BPA was granted permission to advertise for bids for supplied for water and sewer departments.

The bills amounted to $1,696,42, and were approved. a Council authorized the planning commission to permit the Key Harbor Marina to construct not more than two model homes with the understanding that these were not to be sold nor occupied until satisfactory sewer installations had been made and approved. 2 Fatalities Mar Norwalk Traffic Mark NORWALK Norwalk city police chalked up two traffic fatalities during 1960, Chief Ray Chapin reported to City Council day night. There were no deaths in 1959. Police, all told, investigated total of 299 traffic accidents during 1960 as compared to 323 the previous year.

A total persons were injured in accidents in the past 12 months compared to 90 in the previous year. Total traffic arrests were 495 compared to 595 during 1959. Complaints investigated last year numbered 1,228 compared to in 1959. High on the list of investigations were those involving juveniles. During the past 12 months there were 241 cases compared to only 75 in 1959, Chapin's report showed.

At least 211 of last year's cases, not involving traffic offenses were referred to juvenile court. Fines, costs, waivers and bond forfeits that went to the city's general fund amounted to $9,128. Other money collected by police included $23,800.50 from parking meters and $5,013 in parking violations. Florence Grange To Award Degree At Feb. 14 Meet FLORENCE At the January meeting of Florence Subordinate Grange the names of Mr.

He said, in this connection that "This organization contributes materially to the betterment of this community and "I urge all citizens to give full consideration to the future service of the Jaycees." Man Jailed After Scrap With Police FREMONT Chester L. Teepie, 32, recently, released inmate of Toledo State Hospital, is being held in Sandusky County jail after he held police officers at bay Sunday in a Gibsonburg home. Teeple went to the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Dale Vallance in Gibsonburg after threatening her, police said. When Teeple heard he was about to be taken to county jail he grabbed two knives from the kitchen wall and kept officers away, according to police.

Officers said they argued and cajoled with before Teeple for nearly down four hours he lay the knives and agreed to come quietly. Police Chief Ted Myers, Patrolmen Herbert Smith, Don Schlea and Leonard Caskey of Gibsonburg and Deputy Sheriff Robert Smith took turns pleading with Teeple. The Rinderles said an exceptional child is one who is not normal and is handicapped. Three out of every 100 children are so handicapped. There are 43 in the Sandusky group. Mrs. Rinderle' explained the teaching program and the different classes.
