He phones his forecasts for Yucaipa, Redlands, Highland, Bloomington and, Fontana to the Service 's mona headquarters for review and for the 8 p.m. broadcast.

He maintains 25 temperature recording stations in his district. This one includes a recording thermometer and he is, in this picture, preparing to change the graph sheet NORTON and families of 14 Norton aviation technicians who returned Monday from Antarctica, gather with their heroes beneath the yawning jaws of the C-124 in which the repairmen returned. of Redlands (not visible in photo) was among the returnees. making his frost predictions Mr. Legg first studies data from the weather stations in his own district, and makes certain deductions according to a formula developed here from experience by Redlands forecasters. Then he analyzes the broader picture by preparing a weather map from reports received oxer he Weather Bureau teletype. THE 10-YEAR being installed between Grant and Alvarado on West Olive avenue is a new sewer line serve four houses in that area. Utilizing the 1911 Improvement Act, the property owners have 10 years to pay for the installation which is costing $1283. Contractor is Lloyd Johnson. The four houses were formerly served by a private sewer line which the County Health department decreed was no longer safe from a health standpoint -thus forcing city action.
