Victorians who have admired the modernistic lines and beautiful appearance of the exterior of the building will be delighted likewise with the Interior of the theatre, where the keynote of modernism In design is carried out most pleasingly. The lobby Is finished In sunshine and blue and the decorative plan centres around handsome wall fountain, designed In San and specially flood-lit. The theatre will seat 700. In many respects, as far as can be ascertained locally, It Is unique among theatres of the Canadian west, in that it is the only one whose employees enjoy a profit-sharing financial arrange ment with the owner; the only one built for acoustics; and the only one with forty-two-sprlng seat chairs a factor making for great comfort.

The owner of the Atlas, Dr. Gusta-vus Prelswerck, Ph.D., M.D., a resi dent of Victoria for fifteen years, la well known in musical circles as an accomplished violinist. To his interest In music is to be attributed the special steps taken to ensure acoustical excellence in the construction of the theatre. As a physician, he Is, of course, most Interested In safeguarding the health of patrons of the theatre. To this special concern may be ascribed the decision to install an up-to-date system of alr-condltlonlng.
