Escorted tours of tho federal building, extensively enlarged, will constitute the observance of completion of the annex, nearly a year in construction. Arrested last July on a reek-less driving charge, Stevens was placed on probation which would have expired next month.

Saturday night he was again apprehended by Officer George Cavanagh on Cayuga street and charged with the same offense, with the heavy sentence being imposed by Police Judge Donald younger who revoked his probation. Oliver Felton Quillinan of San Francisco, arrested Saturday evening on a reckless driving charge preferred by Officer lien Krupp, will appear June 13 for arraignment. He was arrested on Plymouth street. 1 WIDELY KNOWN NURSE EXPIRES I IN SANITARIUM Christine Demarest Jackson, 85, Had Been Associate Of Royalty Christine Demarest Jackson, 85-year-old retired trained nurse whose profession carried her many times across the Atlantic to far European cities, died Saturday night in Santa Cruz where she had lived for most of the period gince 1907 with Mr. and Mrs.

J. A. Williams of 11 Dakota avenue. Death came at 9:40 p. m.

in a Santa Cruz sanitarium for the aged woman who, horn in Pier-mont-on-the-Hudson was educated in New York City schools, and in 1866 accompanied Lady John-won, sister of Governor Gifford Tinchot of Pennsylvania and wife of Sir Allen Johnson, first secretary to the English legation at Copenhagen, to Europe. Through subsequent appointments of Sir Allen as minister to Darmstad, Germany, ami Vienna, Austria, Christine Jackson traveled with the couple. Alter extensive travels she returned to London and in 1905 to California. During her residence in Europe Bhe made four round trips lo the United States. In 1907 she settled permanently in California spending a large' majority of her time in Santa Cruz.

Her known survivors are a cousin, Mrs. T. P. Hlan of Brooklyn, New York, and a Krand-nieco, Elizabeth Pinkley of Denver, Colorado. The Wessendorf Mortuary, in charge ot funeral arrangements, has anunounced services from its chapel at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning.

Inurnment will be in the Santa Cruz Mausoleum. A freak storm which whipped tlie bay here Saturday night and Sunday morning did considerable damage along the waterfront, sweeping two boats onto the beach and causing considerable anxiety among the commercial fishermen who hastened to take precautions against damage to their craft. A fishing launch belonging to H. E. Rohrke, employe of the Mission garage, was swept from its moorings and hurled onto the beach opposite the Casa del Rey apartments.

The boat was badly damaged before it could be dug out of the sand where it waB partly buried yesterday. One of the Santa Cruz Yacht Club boats also pulled loose during the storm and was beached near the pleasure pier but was pulled loose by a tow-car operating along the pier before it was seriously damaged. Th big yacht "Pathfinder" belonging to Lino Niccoll broke its anchor Saturday night and was drifting towards San Lorenzo point when an alarm was turned in and the craft towed back to its mooring place. The storm was a tropical winter affair with choppy waves rather than the usual long swells of summer evident. With the custody of their child-star son, Freddie Bartholomew, a moot question, mother and father Mr.

Atkinson, Aunt of Amos Roff Dies In San Francisco News of the death in San Francisco yesterday of Mrs. Elizabeth W. Davidson, wife of the late George Davidson of that city, was received here today by her nephew. Commissioner Amos Roff. Mrs.

Davidson, a frequent visitor hereMor many years, was an aunt of Roff, J. R. Williamson and Henry Garrett, of this city. A sister-in-law, Mrs. John Williamson of Walnut avenue and a grand-daughter, Mrs.

Albert M. lily, also live here. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock from the chapel of the Golden Gate undertaking company at 1550 California street in San Francisco. Bruno Dieze of B. L.

Dies Here Bruno Dieze, 55-year-old Ren Lomond wood dealer, died this morning in a Santa Cruz hospital. A native of Germany he had lived in the San Lorenzo valley for five years, coming here from Gilroy. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ina Dieze, at present in Los Angeles, a son employed in Santa Cruz, and two daughters. Mrs.

Gertrude Wilson and Mrs. Mar garet Brown, both of Ben Lomond. HERB COATS RETURNS FROM PHILCO TRIP TO HAVANA, EAST Herb Coals, radio dealer of Santa Cruz, who has been a member of the I'hilco prize-winning trip which included in its itinerary a trip to Havana and several eastern states, returned to his home in this city laxt night, According to Mr. Coats one of the highlights of the trip was the thrill of seeing the new British liner, Queen Mary, drop anchor in New York harbor. Before, returning to Santa Cruz he visited in Washington, D. C. New York and New Orleans.

i iv I 1 i I Long Resident Hamilton Atkinson, father of Mrs. Mollie Felt and Mrs. May Feakes of Santa Cruz, died yesterday in this city, his home for many years. He was a native of Pennsylvania, 7S years of age. Ho had made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. George Feakes of 27 Pine street. Preceded in death by his wife, his principal activities centered in the Santa Cruz colony of former lowans and native of the other middle western states. Before coming to this city he had lived in Remsen, Iowa. Funeral services will be con ducted tomorrow afternoon at the C.

MUSIC TEACHERS TO HAVE MEETING THIS EVENING AT HOTEL All music teachers of Santa Cruz have been asked to attend a meeting tonight at. 8:15 o'clock in the Chinese room of the Palo- mar hotel when a discussion will he held on the establishing of a jstate music teachers association in Santa Cruz.

Addressing the teachers on this will me Mrs. Lillian Bir jiniiigbam, president, of the State Music Teachers association, and Mrs. Alviu Wilson, state treas urer. Appearing on the program will be Mrs. Vera McKenna's Philharmonic trio.

Thefts Herbert Walker, 43, piano player at the Rendezvous night club, was today sentenced by Police Judge Donald Younger to 40 days in the county jail for shoplifting.
