Essentially, the game has Stitch wreaking havoc on an alien planet, in kind of a thirdr-person shooter. Run, jump, climb and blast your way through other cute creatures. Along the way you unlock movie reels from the cartoon show, which is another incentive to keep playing. The graphics are bright and vibrant and the worlds large enough to keep you going for a while.

The levels do have some freedom but it's largely a predes-ignated path you follow and the enemies you get to fight offer some challenges along the way. Fans of the movie will have difficulty choosing as there are two distinct games that are worth a look. Ratings: for everyone Lilo Stitch for PS1 What's right: Big worlds, feel of the movie, storyline. What's wrong: Seen this before in Crash Bandicoot. And where's The art of making a licensed game is a tricky one.

You could just make a terrible game and slap a popular costume on it (Batman, Superman, or be way off with the timing (Top Gun just coming out 15 years after the movie). Or you could get the huge Disney marketing machine on your side and strike while the iron's hot. Welcome to Lilo Stitch, the big Disney kid's cartoon of the summer and the two games ready for action. PlayStation One owners get Lilo Stitch, a standard platform game that follows the movie plot rather closely. PlayStation 2 owners get Stitch: Experiment 626 that is kind of a prequel to the film and takes a look at how the little alien, Stitch, came about in the first place.

Lilo Stitch sees you on a 23-level escapade through the tropical locations of Hawaii and you can play as either the alien wrecker Stitch or his newfound Hawaiian friend Lilo. Just like the movie, Lilo Stitch sees you on a 23-level escapade through Hawaii you start off with no feelings for each other but learn to be friends and work together as the game moves on. This is a good, solid game that will have those who like the highly-rated movie happy. Run, jump, bounce, pick fruit and smash boxes to find powerups. It's a formula you've all seen before but it works.

PlayStation2 owners, however, get a much fresher experience in Stitch: Experiment 626. The backplot begins with an evil doctor called Jumba, who invents Stitch to be the ultimate weapon the two-player two-player THUMB sets up the story for the movie. What's wrong: The camera can be dizzying and difficult at times, no multiplayer mode. Graphics: con-, THUMB fun? Graphics: 3.5 out of control extras game- play 4. Overall a 3.5 on the Numb Thumb.
