Cook of Hermosa for income property at Hawthorne. Mr. and Mrs. Watson will go to Hawthorne to live, his physician having advised him to move nearer the coast for a while. Mr.

Cook has announced that he will subdivide the grove, running Tenth Street through tr the Terrace and selling lots on the Terrace, High Avenue and Tenth Street. boys who attended Lake Camp Bluff will hold a reunion meeting at the Grace Methodist Church Sunday morning next at 11 o'clock when the story of the camp will bo told in graphic detail by the Rev. John Wood, camp chaplain He will speak on the subject 'Mid Whispering Pines" and will tell the story of camp life with its various activities and interesting details. L. O. Hammond left today for Santa Monica, to attend the funeral of Mrs. C. A.

Wise. Regular meeting of the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary will be held Thursday evening at the Legion clubhouse at 7:30 o'clock. Follow ing a short business- session there will be sewing for the hospital at Camp Kearney. All Auxiliary mem bers are asked to help with the work. Legionnaires are invited to join in the refreshment hour.

The Redlands Sanitary Laundry is helping in the power-saving pro gram by installing today a Fordson tractor, which will do the work of wo large electric motors. The tractor will be used until the power tifuation is changed. A group of Alhambra Y. M. C.

A. boys was in the city this morning on the way to a summer camp in the mountains. Practical Nurses' Club will meet at the Y. W. C.

A. tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Important matters will be presented for discussion. Redlands society people who spend their summers at Newport, or are members of the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, will be interested in the announcement of a scries of bridge and mah jong luncheons, beginning July 11. and continuing each Friday until Sept.

The South TIesj. Water Company not being able, because of the shortage of electrical power, to supply the de mand of water needed to develop this year's apple crop, two 75-horsepower tractor engines, which will be used to surplant the 150-horsepower motor at well No. 6 have been Installed. Superintendent E. F.

Gill, who also supervises the pumps of the Western Heights Water Company, serving West Yucaipa, plans to place a 60 horsepower tractor In service at one of the wells. This new power unit Is expected to be in operation by the latter part of next week. These orchardlsts are fortunate in being able to secure this equipment so promptly. If further reductions 2n electricity are ordered by the power supervisor still more such gas en-pines will be used. Drilling Again At Oil Well Test of the casing at the Grape-hill oil well last week found it as free 'as It was on the day when the work was discontinued when the fire destroyed the derrick.

Drilling was resumed Monday and the drillers expressed satisfaction at the operation of the new outfit, which is considered better in every respect than the one destroyed by fire. Thursday the well was down 3,976 feet and a new section was being added to the casing. Major Walkup stated that the drill was in brown shale and indications were fine.
