The deceased was a native of Utica, N. where she was born eighty-four years ago, and came to California in 1866, coming direct to Santa Cruz county, where she has lived ever since. The dance given by the Native Sons of the Golden West at Casa del Rey Saturday evening was the last of the important pre-lenten dancing parties, and was easily one of the most enjoyable this season. About two hundred were present, dancing to the strains of Abbott's four-piece orchestra. Many lovely gowns were noted.
