Breault was born Leona E. Marcotte on Jan. 14, 1912, at Aurora. She farmed with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonse in 1990; and an infant daughter.

Survivors include four daughters, Delores Judd of Spokane, Dora Mae tam of Salina, Annabell Kogler of Hays and Geraldine Scott of Newton; three sons, Bernard of Aurora, Rick of Concordia and Darrell of Grove, two brothers, Harvey Marcotte of Rupert, Idaho, and Clifford Marcotte of Wichita; two sisters, Isabelle Genereux of Lodi, and Marie Rose Brake of Collinsville, 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m,• today at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Aurora.

Cottam, 69, Houston, died July 18, 2002. Mr. Cottam was born Dec. 19, 1932, at Hubbell, Neb. He was a retired construction and heavyequipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice. Survivors include a son, Alvin Dull of Hutchinson; a daughter, Teresa Cottam of Houston; his stepmother, Georgia Cottam of Belleville; a sister, Iva Jane Rodgers of South Roxanna, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Duncan was born Belva B. Zavitz on July 9, 1910, at Morrill, Kan. She was a nurse's aide at Dr. Moore's office in Herington and at Irwin Army Hospital, Fort Riley, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Pleasant E. Teel, in 1960: her second husband. Frederick H. Wood, in 1975; her third husband, John H. "Jack" Duncan, in 1986; and a son, Robert W.

Kurtenbach was born April 6, 1948, at Wichita. He was a farmer-rancher and parts man for Herington Tractor. Survivors include his wife, Barbara E. of the home; two sons, Ryan of Emporia and Scott of Pilsen; his mother, Agnes Kurtenbach of Hering. ton; and a sister, Beth Speltz of Clay Center.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Herington. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Mr. Malcom was born May 23, 1928, at Thayer. He was a concrete contractor. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; two daughters, Linda Harris of Wichita and Lorri Lawton of Efland, N.C.; three stepdaughters, Shirley Coleman of Wichita, Pat Douglas Kingman and Kay Kandt of Herington; three sisters, Edith Coffer of Kansas City, and Joann Mitchell and Olive Morgan, both of Wichita; two granddaughters; 11 stepgrandchildren; a -grandson; and numerous stepgreat-grandchildren. Irene Repshire LINCOLN Irene Repshire, 78, Lincoln, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002. Mrs. Repshire was born Irene Larsen on April 24, 1924, at rural Sylvan Grove. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, La Verne.

Rhodes CHESTER, Neb. Billy L. Rhodes, 78, Chester, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002. Mr. Rhodes was born April 23, 1924, at Carthage, Ill.

He was a retired self- laborer. His first wife, Esther died in 1968. Warnica was born Jan. 10, 1960, in Abilene. He worked at a grocery store in Herington, the rock quarry north of Woodbine, repaired lawn mowers in Council Grove and was a selfemployed woodworker and craftsman. Survivors include his wife, Tammy of the home; his parents, Gene and Dee Warnica of Marion and Judy and Pete Fells of rural Herington; a daughter, Jouanna Star Warnica of the home; a stepsister, Gerry Vinduska of Pilsen; a brother, Brad of Woodbine; a half brother, Greg Warnica of Hillsboro; a stepbrother, Ron Ehrlich of Omaha, and his grandmother, Anna Fells of rural Herington. BRIEFLY Area residents face: federal drug charges Ten Salina-area people face federal drug charges after they were indicted Wednesday by a' grand jury in Kansas City, Kan. The indictments come in the wake of a 13-month investigation into a large drug ring that was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Task Force. Indicted Wednesday were Raul Alcantar, 30, Salina; Michelle Brown, 32, Herington; Kristina Ketchum, 29, Assaria; Manuel Blevins, 44, Salina; Thomas Brown, 36, Salina; Milton Ruiz, 25, New Cambria; Anjelica Kaker, 19, Salina; Peter Gonzalez, 20, New Cambria; Patrick Ketchum, 31, Assaria; Kirby Jahnke, 30, Salina; and Brian Brown, 31, Herington.

Five others also were indicted Wednesday in connection with the drug ring. Teen killed while collecting $20 debt FORT SCOTT A 16-yearold has been charged with fatally stabbing a Lenexa teenager who authorities said was trying to collect a $20 debt from the sale of a bicycle. Police said Hubert Kendall Danielson IV, 18, died in surgery after he was stabbed Monday night in Fort Scott as he fought with the 16-year-old boy. Terri Johnson, the Bourbon County attorney, said the 16- year-old, whose name was not released, was charged Tuesday as a juvenile with one count of second-degree murder. She said she hadn't determined whether she will seek to prosecute the Fort Scott boy as an adult.
