Korbut, not previous ly known for speaking out on politics, was quoted by the official Soviet news agency Tass Sunday as saying the November summit between President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev had given the world hope. "But it should be borne out, and not with high-sounding phrases but with real deeds," said Korbut, 29.

She singled out the Soviet moratorium on nuclear tests, which expires shortly, as an "act of lofty humanism and goodwill" which the U.S. could follow. TheWindsorStar WINDSOR, ONTARIO In Windsor General Offices 167 Ferry St. 255-5711 Editorial Dept. 256-5533 Star Library Mon.

Which will always leave me withpartofyouinmyheart-, -Remembered always by your sisterJeanie. RODIE In loving memory of a dear grandfather, John, who Sassed away Dec. 30, 1984. hat would I give to clasp his hand, His happy face to see, To hear his voice and see his smile. That meant so much to me.

We love and miss you, Lee Ann, Jeff, Kellie, Eric and Terri. RODIE In lovint memory of John Rodie, who passed away Dec. 30, 1984. 'O father dear, when I was young The things together we had done. We had laughed and sung the' years away -Only to be remembered from, day to day.

My love for you eternal here Cannot rid me, of the emptiness near. Your loving daugher. Mary-Lou. RODIE In loving memory of John Rodie, who passed away Dec. 30, 1984.

It's been a year since last we talked So much I've kept inside It's been a year since last we walked So many tears I've cried. Hours go by and days roll on Your memories I cling to But in my heart I know your gone. Oh' dad, I really need you I can't begin to tell you All that's happened in a year It's like someone has built a wall I wish you still were here. Your loving daughter, Margret RODIE In loving memory of a dear father and grandfather, John, who passed away Dec. 30,1984.

Gone dear father, gone forever; How we miss your smiling face, But you left us to remember None on earth can take your place. A happy home we once enjoyed, How sweet the memory still, But death has left a loneliness The world can never fill. His smiling way and pleasant face Are a pleasure to recall, He had a kindly word for each And died beloved by all. Some day we hope to meet him, To clasp his hand in a better land, someday we know not when, Never to part again. Lois, Darrow, Shelly ft Kelly.

RODIE In loving memory of a dear husband, John, who passed away one year ago today, December 30th, 1984. If he could have spoken before he died, These words he would have replied. "this life for me has truly passed I loved you all to the very last Weep not for me, but courage take Love each other for my sake." For he did bis best till God gave him eternal rest He shared our troubles ft helped us along Ifwe walk in his footsteps Wecannevergowrong. -Sadly missed by his wife, Mae. WILEY in loving memory of a special husband, Nate, who passed away December 30 1984.

Each morning when I wake And realize you are gone. No one knows the loneliness Or the pain thai lingers on. Words cannot heal the heartache Nor stop the silent tears For when you lose a husband, You can cry for many years. I find it hard to write these words, To say how much I love you. The more I try, the more I cry.

Oh, 1 really miss you. Others were taken, oh yes, I know, But you were mine, and I loved you so. To those who have a husband, -Love him while you may. For how I wish with all my heart, That I had mine today. Loved forever, forgotten never, by wife Corinne and family.
