Woodford, ex United States district attorney iu New York city, recently presented to the Memorial Presbyt 'rlan church of Brooklyn, of which the Rev.

T. A. Nelson is pastor, a window of much beauty ns a kmemorial to a boloved daughter. It is gothic in character, having three largo separate lights or lancets, with smaller lights above them. In the center lancet, is a saintlike female Ilguro In garments of celestial colors, standing beneath an arch of elaborate interlacing design.

A spiritual light surrounds the head, and in the arms are lilies, roses and a pulm of purity and peace. The treatment or roses and lilies, with a eontlnuatlon of the interlacing design above tho llguro, is extended into the other two lancts. At the base of the window are inscriptions panels surrounded by jewels. Tho delicate and harmonious color effects of the work are beautiful and appear to result from the artistic manner in which the great variety of glass in the window has been controlled and manipulated, from light shades of green at its base tho window grows darker in blues, greens and browns toward the center, where it brightens into the white of the lilies, tho pink of the roses and a golden yellow background. The golden tone is lighter as it extends upward behind the tracery until it becomes lost in blending with richer and more opaque colors of the upper portions of the window.

The shading of color has secured a beauty of effect which is very delicate and interesting. The inscription panels bear the following text and name: "Evelyn Capon Woodford, died Juno 20. 1891. 'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. The work was intrusted to the Tiffany Glass and Decorating company of New York.
