A correspondent writes: "Henri Rochefcrt, of whom meii'tlon was recently made by your Paris norreepondent, is not the only public man who figures as a demon In the sculptural decorations of a dhurch. Mr. Gladstone is very slmilaPiy portrayed in the wood carving of the stalls of Antwerp Caithedral.

The guides of the cathedral seldom fail to point the image out ito visitors tha likeness is unmistakcable. It is a 'Harry Fur niss' Gladstone, with plenty of collar."
