CO DEATHS KINGSMILL: Louise M. of West Vancouver passed away July 2, 1993 at the age of 87. Predeceased her loving, devoted husband, Vernon S. Kingsmill in 1975. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, June Gillrie, niece, Lorna H.

Jackson, nephew, Miles Gillrie of the Comox Valley, and nieces and nephews many friends. Louise served as a Lt. in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War, was a long time member of the Marine Drive Golf Club and later, a member of the West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club. Predeceased by grandson, Robert Linee Christensen, September, 1984. Also survived by sister Ruth Linee. and brothers Kurt, Palle and Preben, residing in Denmark. Paul was involved in the construction trade for 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur John Douglas, and her daughter, Joan Tayler and her grandchildren, Max and Sophie. EAGLES Violet Evelyn, born September 29, 1899, passed away peacefully in Burnaby Hospital Extended CareUnit, July 2, 1993.

She was predeceased by her husband Blythe Alfred Eagles, Dean Emeritus U.B.C. Department of Agriculture in July 1990. Violet did pioneer work on enzymes and pure protein and received her doctorate from the University of Toronto in 1929. She held Double Masters Degrees. The First Masters Degree in Arts was given when University of B.C.

was in the Fairview Shacks, now the site of the Vancouver General Hospital; the Second from the University of Toronto. Violet was a wonderful friend to a host of people. She gave thoughtful generosity and kindness to students, friends, family, Council of Women Historical Society of Burnaby, the Valley View Health Unit, St. Michaels Hospital, the Fort Langley Farm Machinery the Vancouver Opera Society, She The Theatre, and all lived in Burnaby her married life. The Deer Lake Home was a house and and garden of warmth and generosity.

She is survived by cousins Helen (Frank) Millerd, Margaret (Gordon) Bonham, Moir (Joan) McLagan, Bruce (Gwen) McLagan, Muriel McLagan, Gertrude Thompson and their children. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 9 at 12 noon in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home within the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Park Royal Oak and Canada Way, Burnaby.
