Mr. Sermak filled the vacancy of Mayor William Steele who was called out-of-town on business. Four bids were received and opened on two new trucks.

Osborne, assistant commissioner for Educational Finance and Management of the New York State Department of Education. The ceremonies will take place in the school's auditorium. The school was opened in September, with an enrollment of 1327 pupils. During the dedication ceremonies, the District's Board of Education will officially accept the building. The building wil be presented to the Board by architect Earl Martin.

Richard Cheney, President of the Board of Education will accept on behalf of the Board, and District Administrator Vernon Heiman will accept on behalf of the faculty and administration. The Frontier High School PTA will serve as host for refreshments following the ceremonies. The building will be open for inspection by the public following the dedication ceremonies. RECORD VOLUME EXPECTED, SAYS PM Postmaster Myron F. Blakeney predicts that the volume of mall to be, handled during this year's Christmas rush will reach a record high.

Well over 145 million pieces of Incoming and outgoing mall are expected to move through the Buffalo, New York Post Office during the period December 1st through 24th. The Buffalo. The next regular meeting of the Board Is December 20th at 7:00 p.m. GRUBE RETIRES AT BETHLEHEM Retirement of George W.Grube, 534 McKlnley Parkway, as general foreman of the hot strip mill at Bethlehem Steel Corporation's Lackawanna plant was announced by Robert S. Bennett, general manager. A native of Bethlehem, Grube began work at the corporation's plant there in 1920. Assigned to the Lackawanna plant in 1935, he became an assistant mill provider for the order department at the hot strip mill.

He was promoted to general foremen of the mill's slab yard in 1936, and made a turn foreman of the mill in 1937. His appointment as general foreman oc cured In 1956. For recreation, Grube enjoys outdoor life at a camp in the Ad-lrondacks. He Is a member of the B.P.O.E. in Buffalo.
