B. L. Walker, of Carls-bad, and herself formerly a resident of this city, received several honors. A. medal was merited Miss Maberry for ladylike, deportment; also one on "Christian doctrine," donated by like Knights of Columbus; elocution, for diligence and for scholarship in the 12th grade.

Miss Meberry was a student at Carlsbad schools some nine years ago, and is remembered as a bright-eyed little school girl, and it seems impossible to realize that- she has grown up and was graduated with the honors mentioned above. May her future plans and aspirations be ealized.
