Tuesday afternoon the Mt. Vernon Woman's club met at the beautiful home of George W. Howard on North Fourteenth street, Miss Howard the hostess. The meeting, while it was I.he regular monthly meeting, was greatly honored by the presence of' ihe Stalo President of Illinois Federated Woman's clubs, Mrs. William Harf or Benton.

Mrs. Hart is a charming, well educated woman of great personality and thoroughly versed in the interests of woman's work. After her talk, which endpd all too soon, members or the club were given the opportunity of meeting Mrs. Hart and a social time followed. Delicious refreshments were served.
