The Family of Charles Hall. OBITUARY JAMES LEE SMART James Lee Smart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smart, was born at LaHarpe, Kansas, July 12, 1939 and passed away June 30, 1964 at St. Louis, at the age of 24 years, 11 months and 18 days.

The family moved to Wichita in 1941, remaining there until the dose of World War II when they returned to the LaHarpe community. He was a graduate of LaHarpe High School and lola Jr. College. He then was employed by Trans World Airlines in Kansas City, Mo until he went into the Army in January of 1962. He received his discharge from the Army in Dec.

of 1963. Soon after his discharge he went to St. Louis where he was again employed by TWA. James was a member -of the LaHarpe Baptist Church, having accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of eleven years. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, one sister, Mrs.

Rex Robb of Kincaid; one brother, Larry of rural Moran; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Barnes of LaHarpe; foui nieces and one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the LaHarpe Baptist Church by Rev. A 1963 Chevrolet Vi -ton pickup was damaged on the left door about 4 p. m. yesterday in a collision on East Neosho about 75 feet west of Colborn Street, police reported today. The pickup was being operated by George Hamilton, 58. The other car involved was a 1964 Chevrolet, driven by Miss Diane K.

Farris, 16, of Garnett. It was damaged on the right front. Hamilton told police he had parked the truck on Neosho and started to get out when he saw the car approaching. He said he got back in the pickup but did not get the door closed in time. Miss Farris said that she was going west on Neosho and had started to go between a car parked on the south side and the truck at the time Hamilton opened his door and that she did not have time to avoid the accident.
